It was perfect for our little group of 9. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were all members of a choir and I have recommended to our choir leader to book this hotel again.

The initial welcome set the mood for our stay. We were met with a warm welcoming smile and heartfelt friendly greeting from our host. We were then shown the facilities and where we would be having breakfast each morning. Next the room and ensuite; these were immaculately clean, fresh and newly decorated. The bed was very comfortable and gave us three restful nights sleep. The bathroom had the option of both separate shower and bath. The breakfast was fantastic with everything needed to set us up for busy days sightseeing and coastal walks.
Our pet Jack Russell Rolo found a new friend in Bo, the the resident pet dog. They hit it off immediately and wanted to run around and play every time they met.
The farewell was also as warm as the arrival, with the lovely touch of receiving a small gift of Welsh yellow Poppy seeds, which will be a welcome addition to the two other colour varieties we already have in our garden at home.

Newcastle Emlyn town was a great find with a good array of unique shops and places to eat - a complete unknown before this visit although we know Wales well. The castle offers additional interest - we easily spent a day in the town. The area is beautiful and provided a tranquil, relaxing base for a great holiday.

Go when the hotel is open and operating correctly, currently they are far behind the covid rules for Wakes. We had spent the previous few day in North Wales and enjoyed full facilities, we had to wear masks but all the restaurants and bars were open.

The design of the layout of the lodge was very well thought out and the added bonus of an ensuite. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lodge had more than enough heating. Richard the owner greeted us on arrival and departure and wanted to ensure everything was right for our stay and he was so pleasant. So near to Newcastle Emlyn where there are many pubs, different variety of restaurants and shops and the locals are so friendly and made us welcome.
Absolutely beautiful house and room, better than the pictures. Hosts were very welcoming. Bed is I think the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a hotel/guesthouse. Just be aware bathroom not ensuite although our room had a private bathroom so this wasn't an issue for us, and it's more of a guesthouse set up than a hotel, which I hadn't appreciated when I booked. However I would absolutely stay there again
I was really impressed with this little hotel. I booked in a rush as i needed to be in the area unexpectedly but it turned out to exceed my expectations. Everyone was really friendly and helpful and both the price of the room and the breakfast were excellent. My room was clean and comfortable and I would definitely stay again.
Cosy, comfortable quiet location, we had our meal outside in the shade, but there was also sunny places to sit. Joyce was very friendly and welcoming. Lots of animals around sheep chickens alpacas and a very friendly cat.only ten minutes from the shops of Newcastle Emlyn, with picturesque walks by the castle.
Clean, convenient location, friendly and helpful owner. 5-10 min walk to Newcastle Emlyn Town. Nice outside space. The decor and colour scheme was lovely. I still feel guilty about phoning the owner very late at night when we arrived. It was dark and I couldn't find the right driveway to the property!
