We were walking the last 2 stages of the Offa Dyke Path last week. Rob picked us up from Tremeirchion and dropped us back the next day to follow the path, so kind. Anne-Marie and Rob made us feel so welcome, we had an amazing stay. Fantastic facilities and delicious breakfast. Great beds and pillows. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped with soaps and fluffy towels. We continued our journey the next day to Prestatyn with our water bottles filled up with filtered cold water. Thanks again for all your help and kindness.

118 Lyons holiday park Rhyl As you can see this is what I had to deal with with my 2 year old girl they offers to clean carpet the owner offered to clean caravan but he never came or cleaner they was strong dirty musty smell as you came in my clothes smelt like the smell the table was. Broken door fallen of big stains in carpets will never be staying here or in this caravan again it’s disgusting he was rude the owner would not fix the problem or offer any refund he just takes your money and gives you a really unsafe caravan as more concerning he does think this is safe for baby’s which is not it’s was a awful stay the resort is good just this private host I delt with the caravan I rented was horrible I will not stay shown due how dirty the place was not even toilet roll so had to drive out site at 8 night find shop as he did not drop it of till 11 at night he was rude and was late to even put the basic things in car am like toilet roll I hope he does not do this to anyone else e

Meliden is a hamlet just outside Prestatyn.

Meliden is a hamlet just outside Prestatyn. It has very few amenities of its own and it's location (built on the mountainside) means everywhere is hilly. But pleasant enough and only 5 minutes to the town centre of Prestatyn and 10 mins from the beach. Roman bathhouse is an unexpected treat in the middle of a housing estate!

Caravan is on a huge site, all in rows, blocking any views.

Caravan is on a huge site, all in rows, blocking any views. No view of mountains from caravan. View of back end of caravan in front from the sitting area. Caravan itself inside was nicely appointed but unclean in kitchen and living area. Shower tray was dirty. Kitchen was filthy including grill pan full of thick white grease. Hob and worktops dirty. Cupboard handles thick with grease, we had to clean them. Fridge was dirty and mouldy. Toilets and basins had been cleaned and bedroom clean with clean, but old linen with cigarette burn holes - in a non-smoking accommodation. No mattress protector, this should be standard and changed for every letting, had to borrow 1 from my mother. We washed bed linen ourselves during our stay. No towels provided. Expected towels as advert said "linen provided". The vacuum cleaner was blocked up, someone had used to clean up wet mess, the brush was not working as wrapped with long hair, we spent an hour cleaning it before we could use. I telephoned owner within minutes of our arrival to inform of poor standard of hygiene, said she would come next day to clean but never did and didn't call. We made it clean for our limited use as we were helping my 90 yr old mother arrange father's funeral, caring for her, spending time with her so only at caravan night and morning. If I had booked for a holiday I would have been totally disappointed. There was certainly no COVID standard cleanliness in place. We left it cleaner than when we arrived but did not clean up all the muck, fluff and dust that was already around the lounge seating area on our arrival.

The photos when booking were not the ones of the caravan we hired. The caravan was clean but very poorly equipped. The oven wouldn't ignite neither would the gas fire. The bedding was very shabby and the bed pillows could have done with a wash as they smelt stale. There were two buttons on the thin and extremely worn duvet cover - these two buttons were hanging on by a thread and the other buttons were missing. In the single bedroom the duvet covers and pillow slips were extremely creased - hadn't seen an iron in a long time. Kitchen had hardly any cooking utensils. There were two frying pans - one was rusty and not one utensil for getting food out of the frying pans once cooked. No heat proof serving/oven dishes to be seen. Grubby interior that has seen better days. When I booked I asked for pet friendly accommodation and paid the price asked - I was then asked for another £25 for my dog to stay two nights. Only that I was committed and would have lost my money I wold have cancelled the two night stay. Was not a good experience. Would advise others not to book

The security staff at the main gate was not found doing their job. The host didn’t attend or returned our calls at a crucial time, when we needed his help; the signage was so unplanned and confusing that it took as about one and a half hour to find the location of our accommodation.
