Lovely Caravan, hotel in Maidens

Lovely Caravan, a property with a terrace and a bar, is located in Turnberry, 42 km from Royal Troon, 25 km from Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, as well as 12 km from Culzean Castle & Country Park.

It fulfilled all our needs. We travelled back and forth for the Girvan folk festival. The kitchen and living space was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The campsite was quiet and well located. Only suggestion would be to enclose a site map to help find the caravan, it took up a bit of searching to find it. But apart from that I would happily recommend it and would definitely use it again.

    Nice little quiet place.

Nice little quiet place. Has a hotel that caters for non residents. There is a cafe at the harbour called Ropes which is where we had snack meals, and a small general store at the other end where you can get virtually any thing you may need if you are staying self catering, which we were.

Maidens is a little Ayrshire village, perfectly located from Ayr and Girvan and so near to little towns like Maybole and Kirkoswald too. Ideal for walking and plenty of fresh air. Turnberry golf course just along the road. Lady in the little shop so friendly and welcoming and it really does have everything! The Po King chinese in Maybole was great for a takeaway and Graziano's in Girvan did the perfect chippy. Only cooked once. Maidens has a lovely play park but the beach is more more fun for adventures and exploring with the kids.

We loved our time at Maidens. Beautiful sunsets.

We loved our time at Maidens. Beautiful sunsets. We ate at Wildings three times because the food was so wonderful!!! There are buses to get you around if you don't hire a car. We visited Culzean Castle, Dunure Castle and Turnberry Castle. We also took the ferry to Belfast.
