Business or pleasure YSmithy is in a league of its own. I booked it for an overnight stop traveling for business but I wish I had the time to spend a few days or a weekend there. I was met by Alan on arrival who was very friendly and welcoming, whilst showing me around I talked him to death. I briefly met Julie later on and she was very friendly and all smiles too. What better hosts could you ask for.
Y Smithy itself is small but that’s what makes it perfect, it’s romantic and perfect for couple wanting an escape. It’s set in its own grounds which you can explore and see a wide range of wildlife.
There’s loads of good things I could tell you about Y Smithy but I recommend you visit it yourself and I assure you that you won’t be disappointed nor dissatisfied..

We had an excellent experience at the cottage. The host provided exceptional service and the location was fantastic. The cottage itself was very cozy, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the host had stocked it with milk, bread, and eggs. Their attention to guest service was evident throughout our stay. Kate & Andy are expectional hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. We arrived about 4pm on Saturday 4th May & Kate was there to greet us with the warmest of smiles. Kate showed us round her beautiful home & our bedroom was just amazing, the bathroom was lovely with the deep stand alone bath & the shower was in the corner. We stayed in the queen suite, the bed was comfortable & little touches was lovely. Breakfast was lovely full welsh breakfast again nothing was too much trouble. The spa/swim/hot tub was fabulous already for our arrival. They always had state of the art outside toilet & changing area which was lovely, properly thought out when you in the tub & need to use facilities. Kate made us dinner on Sunday which was superb, again nothing was any trouble for her. Andy was also amazing with his 1970's/80's vibes in music which was to our taste being around the same age as our hosts. Looking forward to going back in the near future. The location was in middle of nowhere so peaceful & time to unwind away from city life

The cottage we booked was lovely, but the town Llanybydder itself doesn’t have too much to offer apart from a local shop & pub. I won’t name the pub itself but the food wasn’t that good in there & expensive. Large local shop which have most essential items if needed. Be willing to travel if you stay in Llanybydder.
