Surrounded by beautiful scenery and views. Extremely peaceful and full of character. The couple running it are Lovey, down to earth, friendly and hard working people. Food was really tasty too! Had the best stay! Definitely coming back in the future :D

This is a beautiful inn with great views, set in a very quiet countryside location. Food was really good - dinner on Friday night was very enjoyable, and breakfast on Saturday morning was absolutely excellent (not to mention with horses outside the windows to add to the view!). The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, and the whole place is so atmospheric. I love all things medieval in any case, so a stay in a fifteenth-century building was a huge plus for me. Everyone was very friendly too, including the other guests.

This is a very old but beautifully maintained and comfortable farmhouse, full of beautiful furniture, china, silver etc. We loved the ambience as it reflected an earlier more genteel era. It is set in a peaceful rural setting where the rest of the world is a million miles away.
Our hostess was charming, informative and looked after us very well.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. My stay was a stopover during a solo walking holiday and the duty manager was thoughtful, making recommendations relevant to my stay (offering to carry my rucksack, we used the lift to reach the room and he showed my the fantastic swimming pool and leisure facilities). I ordered dinner to my room which was delicious, well-presented and great value. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely countryside in the area - perfect for a biking or walking break. Great for a relaxing, get-away-from-it-all break with good food and relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly, welcoming hosts, who are happy to let guests chill out without any pressures. I understand they offer winter breaks which would be a perfect antidote to pressured working life. But check the weather forecast - it has been known for this locality to be 'snowed in'!
