For a group of hill walkers or nature ramblers this hotel is very good, if a bit old-fashioned. It is located on the north side of Lough Tay amid beautiful scenery.
If you want an escape from phones, emails and other distractions in life this is a very good spot.
You must have your own transport as it is 6 or 7 miles from the nearest village.

The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere was apparent as soon as we walked in. The facilities were great and home cooked evening meals were just what we needed.
The hotelier had an excellent knowledge of local whiskies and we enjoyed chatting with him.
Great views, great location, will definitely be back.
A charming highland hotel between loch and hills. Perfect base to climb Ben Lawers and other Munros in the area. A nice pub serving dinner and beer, friendly owners. The room was clean and comfortable (but a bit small - I had a "small compact room"). Great value for the price.
Clean and comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable and shower good. We didn't get breakfast so I can't comment on this, but we ate in the pub one night and the food was good. It was nice to be able to walk down to the Loch from the hotel.
Ben Lawers Hotel is a pleasant, old-fashioned country hotel with far-reaching views over the nearby lakes and mountains. The standard of cuisine for dinner and breakfast is excellent. Our stay was great value for money.
