Irvine Bay, hotel in Irvine

Situated in Irvine in the Ayrshire region, Irvine Bay has a terrace. This 3-star guest house offers a housekeeping service.

It was vey handy to have the studio which made the stay very private. The size of the room was big enough and everything seemed new and very clean. Also the from of the studio had a small table with couple of chairs to get some fresh air if you would like to. The location is very good next to lrvine waterside walk and just about a lovely walk to the beach park ( which is amazing). The place is dog friendly so our dog had enough space to sleep since the room was quite big.

There is plenty of choice for eating and drinking.

There is plenty of choice for eating and drinking. All tastes are catered for with restaurants and take-aways as well as cafes and coffee shops. Walking around felt safe and was pleasent with good architecture to admire. The main shopping centre had plenty of choice with abundant parking as well.

The shops in town and The Rivergate Shopping Centre are all within fairly easy walking distance. Hamiltons, 2 High St. The Carrick 112 High St and Adesso, 6 Glasgow Vennel are all good eating places but there are plenty of cafes and takeaways to suit everyone. The Harbour area is a good place to spend some time at.

Has to be the beach and other surrounding beaches.

Has to be the beach and other surrounding beaches. We stayed in a heat wave which was fantastic. I know Irvine as I grew up there and was back visiting family. Some lovely restaurants and bars. Lots of different dog walking areas and a lot of dog friendly beaches. Visited Troon, Largs (Viking festival was on) Ayr (Ayr Show was on) and various other locations of interest.

Lovely historic town, home of the Scottish Maritime Museum.

Lovely historic town, home of the Scottish Maritime Museum. We stayed at Harbourside which was very quiet. Very friendly place, we ate at the Ship Inn, they were fantastic hosts, beautiful food and dog friendly. They even gave us some milk for our morning coffee because we couldn’t find a shop open and it was getting late. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to explore the area much, we had to move on

Definitely NO BEACH FRONT at the Marina View Guest House -...

Definitely NO BEACH FRONT at the Marina View Guest House - only a broken down old 'harbour'. This establishment is NOT a Guest House! Reviewers are PRAISING it because it has a fridge and a microwave in the room. WONDERFUL, except that NO Knives, Forks, Spoons or Plates of any sort are provided, and no mention is made of this on the website - Booking.com's fault. How are people to eat food heated in the microwave? - Use their fingers and the microwave plate itself? There must be many better places in Irvine, an old town for the most part, but with a number of attractions like the 'Stone Dragon'.

I only booked because I was desperate and stayed elsewhere when I got the chance. I found interactions with payman were Intrusive. I was given no option but pay upfront, nonrefundable. In future if no other accommodations are available I will stay home. There are excellent places to stay in the area so I am surprised anybody wants to stay at Irvine Riverside Guest House. I have stayed there before and did not enjoy my stay!

Ideal location: beach, high street and shopping centre within walking distance. A couple of nice cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. Train station is more or less right next to the hotel. Welcome basket in the room on arrival contained some lovely goodies. Room was spotless. Easy check in with PIN code. Will definitely stay there again when visiting family in Irvine

Irvine bay is beautiful, relaxing, and has everything needed for a short stay. It is very cosy and great that it has a dining area and fridge and the patio outside is lovely for a relaxing seat in the sunshine. The shower room is modern and the skylight is a perfect addition. The high ceilings in the main room make it feel very spacious. Just loved it.

A large but pleasant hotel which appeared to be newly refurbished. I requested an early check in which was arranged at £10 per hour charge. Bed was very comfortable and room facilities were adequate. A buffet breakfast was served in the dining area and had an excellent choice. Good value for money

Clean and comfortable room. Porridge pot appreciated for breakfast. Plenty of places to find evening meal, though as a hotel I had not appreciated food would not be available on site. Location was great for my purposes and plenty of parking available. Very comfy bed and quiet location.
