Ardennan House Hotel, hotel in Inverurie

The Ardennan House Hotel is a charming Scottish family run hotel which has been renovated to a nice standard with modern, comfortable furnishings.

The food at this Hotel is really good, that’s why we chose it Good choice at breakfast and we dined in on 2 nights. Sunday platter is excellent value for money and the burger night on Monday was great. Only disappointment was the shower, as the doors were hanging off and actually did fall off one morning, The Hotel were aware of it, and trying to fix it. Also the bed sheets were way too small. The fitted sheet barely covered the mattress and I had to straighten the pillows in the pillow case. Such simple things that it should be possible to get right. I had stayed here before, and even for the little faults it is still excellent value for money and the staff are so lovely.

Everything about the Redgarth Inn was perfect. Host Stuart made sure we were made welcome. The rooms were lovely and well maintained and had everything you would need. The location was also perfect. My sister lives nearby and I have been coming here for over 30 years. Its a lovely place and inb recent time it has expanded a lot. It not the place to come for fancy night life. You would come here for great scenery and a base to travel to local places of interest. It has a Morrisons and a few other big ticket stores as well.

Good centre for visiting that area - stately homes, castles, scenery, coast, archaeology, history, cycling, walking, golf etc. Reasonable restaurants, and pubs but poorly served by accommodation which is limited. Not much to see in the town itself.

Arrived by train from Aberdeen and by using the very reliable taxi service was able to reach all destinations easily. Inverurie is also a walkable small town well served with supermarkets etc. While the main purpose of my visit was family-related, I took the opportunity to hike in Bannachie and was glad I made the effort.

Its difficult to say as I was not there on holiday. I was there for health reasons ( treatment). We did not spend much time in the locality as we were using the lodge as a base to get to and from treatment base. We did eat both nights in the lodge and the evening food was good.

We stayed in Inverurie as we were going to a wedding at Logie Country House a few minutes up the road. It has a good selection of shops and places to eat. We went to Edward's pub, the Spice of Life Indian restaurant, and Italian restaurant, Roma. All serving great food. There is a riverside walk at the South end of the town. Overall a lovely clean area and the locals are friendly.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The resturant was exceptional with great food and a good choice of food on the menu. Breakfast was either self service or cooked breakfast both had a good choice of tasty food and well worth adding to your stay. Rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished Our bathroom was large and well fitted. There was a large TV and heating to your requirements all added to the great experience, definately my hotel of choice in this area.

A very inexpensive place to stay along our route from Edinburgh to Edderton via the Aberdeen area. Goal was to have a bed in the area of our first Distillery tour and this served the purpose. Local town of Inverurie had some good restaurants and pubs and also grocery store. Hotel breakfast was good. Again great for the price. We visited the Glen Moray Distillery the next morning which was also a great value.

I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Chris was very pleasant and very helpful nothing was any problem for him.continenal breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and Chris made sure nothing ran out . The rooms were more than adequate for my one night stay . The hotel in general was very tidy and spotlessly clean. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would certainly recommend

The food was all home cooked and was very good - we enjoyed a three course evening meal on Saturday night and a very tasty and fulfilling breakfast on Sunday morning. The staff were very friendly and very helpful - nothing was a bother to them. I would recommend this wee gem to anyone looking for accommodation in the Kemnay area.

Staying in the Bothie was a great opportunity. We experienced living and walking in woodlands, relaxing around a fireplace, peaceful surroundings and even a complimentary bottle of bubbly. From the Bothie, we were able to do several day trips to surrounding areas such as Inverurie, Balmoral and Braemar.

For a couple 70+ year olds my wife and I needed the central location. Plus being able to also accommodate our Daughter who had come in from San Francisco to spend Family time with Family and Friends in Inverurie was exceptional... If available for our next visit...We'll Be Back.. John

Ease of checking in to the lodges. Messaged ahead of time to arrange a shower seat for one of our party who is a wheelchair user and it was there in place for our arrival. Brilliant lodge, really spacious and comfortable. Close to Inverurie. Would recommend.

Comfortable and cosy! Staff were really nice and helpful even though we arrived late at night. We ended up having to stay an extra night as came down with food poisoning (not from the hotel) and they were really accommodating!
