Recommend Caddon View Guest House.
Recommend Caddon View Guest House. Innerleithen would be a lovely holiday destination - an interesting small town with lots of shops and gift shops to explore, local country walks, cycle hire, lovely restaurant at the Traquair Arms. A highlight for me was a visit to Kailzie Gardens just a 10 minute drive. This has an amazing walled garden (17ft high walls) with herbaceous borders, glasshouses, a flower cutting garden, veggie garden and wonderful arboretum for walks and picnics. Also a courtyard garden, putting green, trout fishing and a fishing pond for children. Visit for a day or afternoon for walks and lunch. See their website for holiday accommodation (with secure bike storage for cyclists).

Good location with regular bus services.
Good location with regular bus services. Good location to travel to and from by car.
Not alot of places to choose from to dine in and the one pub offering food can be abit pricey but they've a captive audience.
Plenty of takeaways if that's your thing. Also a supermarket to buy daily supplies.
Leave your car and use the regular bus service to other local places.
Traquair House is a must place to see and they do excellent lunches.
Be aware that a lot of kitchens in local towns stop food at 3pm. You will be able to get coffee and cake in some at that time

Most charming small town I have visited in Scotland.
Most charming small town I have visited in Scotland. Everything is very intimate in a sense that you have exactly what you need - couple of restaurants, a few shops and lovely people. There is a charming coffee on the main road with the nicest staff. The town itself feels like home even to an outsider.

Great to stay for a few days.
Great to stay for a few days. Lovely high street with good takeaways and restaurants. Highly recommend a trip to Caldwells ice cream parlour.
We went during prime fishing season so there was lots of activities at the Fish ladder. Watching the fish jump was brilliant!
Lots of nice walks and you are very close to Peebles for a change. We also visited Glentress for incredible scenic walks.
Great location for mountain biking and access to the Innerleithen high street. Pleasant little garden by a stream, complete with sturdy Asgard metal bike storage unit. Immaculate flat with a lovely feel and modern facilities. Coffee machine and complementary biscuits. Big fridge and freezer should you need them. TVs in the bedroom and living room, where there is also a comfy sofa. Bright (white) decor and clean carpets. Bedding clean and inviting. Easy to access keys from the key safe. No noise from neighbours. Very happy with it.
Stayed for two nights with my two young boys, and had a pleasant stay. The bedroom was comfortable and clean.
I like the simple things in life, and this was great had a comfortable space, clean towels and bedding, and the TV for settling down in the evening. Continental breakfast was great for starting the morning, any requests catered for. Also helped me to fill a flask with warm hot chocolate for taking out our walk.
Felt welcomed, and would definitely be back.
Such lovely people in innerleithen.
It's a small cottage on the main road of Innerleithen. The bedroom is at the front, but it is so quiet at night that we could have the window open. The property is very clean and well equipped, just big enough for 2 people, 3 would be quite tight. Bed comfortable. Underfloor heating in bathroom, nice! Good shower. Owners live above the property, family also next door.
Hot tub a few steps away from the backdoor.
It's near the shops. Hiking and biking country.
The location is accessible to the nearby town of Innerleithen. Yet set amongst the back drop of the Scottish mountains and forest. There are walks within the grounds that are just beautiful. The majestic fir trees around the grounds make it quite magical. Host were helpful throughout the stay and little touches in the property made it special. This lodge and surroundings are truly unique and make it an ideal family get away.
We thought it was an excellent property - well furnished, very clean and homely. The location was great for exploring the Borders and facilities in Innerleithen are a couple of minutes walk away. Games were provided, which were great and added to the homeliness. We'd happily return!
We could not have been looked after better! A warm welcome, lovely rooms and a proper Scottish breakfast made for a great stay. Help storing our bikes and the offer to wash dirty clothes for us went beyond the usual hotel or b&b experience. We will be back!
The room was fabulous, nice big bed, gorgeous view, hearty breakfast and Guy was so lovely and helpful. The location was perfect as only a minutes walk onto the main street where there are a couple of pubs and some lovely shops. We will definitely be back.
Such a lovely place, with a great feel about it, matched by an excellent breakfast and exemplary customer service. A great location on the edge of Innerleithen.
The breakfast was very tasty and beautifully cooked, as was the venison at dinner time. The hotel is in a lovely location - within walking distance of the town.
