The unit was clean and spacious. If stopping longer we would have made use of the log burner. There was an outside seating area, easy parking directly outside the unit and a good range of utensils in the kitchen. Crumpets left for arrival along with tea coffee and milk in the fridge

The lodge was newly refurbished and comfortable and had its own outside garden with table - the ambiance of the main hotel for dinner was very good and with the privacy of the lodge was a good combination.

we had breakfast and we got what we asked for. for me it could have been hotter, but I enjoyed it. the staff were very friendly and helpful. I love the decor of the Golden pheasant and the gardens were emaculate.

Breakfast was excellent the location was very good with parking at the hotel a bonus. The hotel looked very tired not appealing to the eye. Needs updating. The outside room we had was spacious but it really needed decorating and the shower needed a good clean especially the drain.
