Shona is a wonderful, helpful and very friendly landlady. The breakfast is very good and always freshly prepared. And especially the muffins - these are world class.

It’s a super wee village with all the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants you would want. Close to woodland walks from the town and short drive to the river and mountains of the Cairngorms a more relaxed feel than the nearby town of Aviemore.

A beautiful area with ancient forest, a local honey maker, an amazing selection of local shops - refillery, bookshop, stationery shop, big supermarket. This is a lovely place to stay to explore the Cairngorm national park. Easy to drive to highlights like Rothy Murchus and Loch Garten. Also lots of other adjacent areas like Nethy Bridge, Forres and Findhorn.

Beautiful area to spend time in.
Beautiful area to spend time in. The town is small, has some nice walks and cute cafes. It's in a gorgeous location surrounded by the Cairngorms so I definitely recommend for a weekend getaway, or even a few nights to get yourself out in nature.

We had a great time at RossMor, enjoying our stay in clean, very well-kept vintage rooms with views of the Cairngorms National Park.
Thomas and Ben were lovely hosts who made every effort to make our stay special. Thomas also had really helpful hiking recommendations for the area. Grantown on Spey itself is also a much nicer town than e.g. Aviemore.
The high-quality breakfast had a lot of different options to choose from each day.
We definitely recommend RossMor and are sure to stay there again if we visit Grantown on Spey in the future!
Really friendly staff, room was a decent size. Thai restaurant joined onto hotel is brilliant, their staff helped my partner carry our order (on proper restaurant dishes not takeaway containers) up to our room. Main course (massaman curry) was tasty but not a patch on the mixed starter which was amazing. Lovely town to wander and some cracking walks nearby. Dog friendly. Chinese takeaway across the road was fab too.
You will not find two more detail-oriented, thoughtful and generous hosts than Thomas and Ben. This stay was exceptional and the breakfast was equal to any five-star dining experience we’ve had in all of Scotland. The owners went above and beyond to return a treasured item back to us that we’d forgotten after we left Grantown. We highly recommend staying at the Rossmor on any trip to the Cairngorms.
We paid for the room, dinner and breakfast. We booked a garden view room, the garden is out the front and we had a big red van and motor cycles parked in front of the window so we asked for another room, which was granted. The accommodation could do with a upgrade.
The dinner was the worst food served to us in 8 weeks off travel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
The staff were excellent and made you very welcome.
We had dinner in the hotel both nights and cannot praise the food highly enough. The white chocolate and coffee dessert was to die for.
Everything you could possibly need was in the room even a hot water bottle and a sleep spray for your pillow.
We will most certainly return. Well done Garth Hotel.
Excellent location in Grantown on Spey easy access to Cairngorms National Park and local walking trails. Accommodation was very comfortable and spacious with excellent amenities including dishwasher, washing machine, TV/internet/ streaming channels and modern kitchen. Local shops just a few minutes walk and also many places to eat.
The staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was great. The beds were comfy. The shower worked fine. The hotel, a beautiful turreted historic building, was a short walk to town, so that we could enjoy a little shopping without taking the car. There was no charge for parking.
Everything really. The stay was lovely. The owners were very nice good laugh to. The food was delectable the drinks were cheep and enjoyable. I would definitely highly recommend this to book for anyone. One of the finest hotels in Grantown on-spey ✌
Breakfast was wonderful! Make your selection the night before from a varied menu. David and Beate were great hosts. Informative and providing guidance to touring the area up through Elgin to Inverness. One of our favorite stays while in Scotland.
Was in a great town, and Nicke and Cris provided the best service we received the whole trip!! Nick was amazing and went out of his way to help. Also it was the best breakfast we had during our travels through England and Scotland.
This food at this hotel is outstanding. The chef has won awards, it is very reasonably priced, and they are very accommodating. Everything is very clean in the rooms and the staff is very nice. I would absolutely stay here again.
staff were friendly, room was dated, bathroom was upgraded and certainly acceptable but no shaver socket. beds were fine, needs money spent. Location was nice in the centre of Grantown on Spey.
Great place to stay. Beside we got everything we needed, we got a warm welcome from the hosts with good recommodation about the nearby restaurants. The breakfast was rich and of high quality!
Everything about this place was amazing and unique! I would recommend this Country House Hotel to anyone who is planning on staying in the area, it will not disappoint!
