Great location. Welcoming entrance and reception staff and striking red carpet throughout. Good breakfast bufdet and excellent evening meal. Bar full of character albeit most photos on the wall were of the huntin', shootin' and fishin' variety, but then it is in the heart of Scotland!

It’s a super wee village with all the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants you would want. Close to woodland walks from the town and short drive to the river and mountains of the Cairngorms a more relaxed feel than the nearby town of Aviemore.

A beautiful area with ancient forest, a local honey maker, an amazing selection of local shops - refillery, bookshop, stationery shop, big supermarket. This is a lovely place to stay to explore the Cairngorm national park. Easy to drive to highlights like Rothy Murchus and Loch Garten. Also lots of other adjacent areas like Nethy Bridge, Forres and Findhorn.

Beautiful area to spend time in.
Beautiful area to spend time in. The town is small, has some nice walks and cute cafes. It's in a gorgeous location surrounded by the Cairngorms so I definitely recommend for a weekend getaway, or even a few nights to get yourself out in nature.

we liked everything about the Speyside Hotel from the location to the town centre which is within walking distance, the comfort of the room and the bed, also the cleanliness in the hotel it was spotless and very well maintained, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was excellent as was our breakfast which was included in the price. Also this is a very dog friendly hotel where our labradoodle was made to feel more than welcome Fantastic value for money we would very much love to come back again sometime
Everything about this stay was perfect! Cozy stay with fun and attentive hosts… plus an amazing breakfast! We really could not have had a better time. You can tell they really put so much love and thought into every detail throughout the stay. The hosts also had some fantastic recommendations and were wonderfully knowledgeable about any topic (that we thought of) to further our experience of Scotland. Thank you both for having us!!!
Really friendly staff, room was a decent size. Thai restaurant joined onto hotel is brilliant, their staff helped my partner carry our order (on proper restaurant dishes not takeaway containers) up to our room. Main course (massaman curry) was tasty but not a patch on the mixed starter which was amazing. Lovely town to wander and some cracking walks nearby. Dog friendly. Chinese takeaway across the road was fab too.
The location was ideal, just a short walk to the high street of Grantown-On-Spey,with lots of
Interesting places to drive to nearby.
The breakfast was really tasty, and the table had everything you would like on it and more.
Our hosts Karen and Alex were great,Karen’s attention to her guests is outstanding,
our room and large bathroom had everything we needed, and was really beautifully furnished.
A beautiful house with fantastic hosts who welcome you as if you’ve been friends for years. A very comfortable room with everything catered for and a wonderful breakfast selection that sets you up for whatever your day has in store. Ideally located for the centre of Grantown on Spey, and for all walks in the area. Would I stay again .... an absolute 100% Yes !
This is one of those grand old hotels with plaid carpeting, stag decor, and photos of birds. They bill themselves the wildlife hotel. They can recommend birding spots. You right next to the Cairngorms and about 30 miles from Culloden. Lovely dinner followed by several drams of the local whiskies in the cozy bar.
The staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was great. The beds were comfy. The shower worked fine. The hotel, a beautiful turreted historic building, was a short walk to town, so that we could enjoy a little shopping without taking the car. There was no charge for parking.
The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very spacious. Well located for a walk into town for shopping or a night out. There was a welcome hamper on arrival and the host greeted us to make sure everything was okay.Grantown on Spey is a very friendly town.
Perfect location! Beautiful property near a quaint town! Absolutely delicious breakfast! Hosts Thomas and Ben were wonderful and made our stay that much more enjoyable! Can’t recommend this B&B enough! If we ever come back Will definitely stay again!!
Was in a great town, and Nicke and Cris provided the best service we received the whole trip!! Nick was amazing and went out of his way to help. Also it was the best breakfast we had during our travels through England and Scotland.
The hotel is right in the middle of Grantown. There is ample parking available at the back of the hotel. Decently priced room. Room size is good enough. Good sized bathroom with clean facilities.
The breakfast was excellent, staff were efficient & polite, manager was superb.
I needed a dog friendly hotel & this one ticked every box, have already recommended …thanks to you all.
All of the staff were wonderful. Mark, the innkeeper, was very helpful in getting us what and where we needed. We did the Scotch tasting at the hotel and that was great!
Everything about this place was amazing and unique! I would recommend this Country House Hotel to anyone who is planning on staying in the area, it will not disappoint!
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Haus Alba is right in the middle of town, close to numerous restaurants. The owners are friendly and very helpful.
