I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel in the Scottish Highlands and was completely taken aback by the quality of the breakfast and the stunning location. The breakfast was not only healthy but also beautifully presented, with a variety of fresh, high-quality ingredients that kick-started our days on a high note. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive and genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home.
The real gem of this hotel, however, is its location. Nestled in the picturesque countryside, it offers breathtaking views that are a joy to wake up to each morning. The serene and beautiful surroundings provide a perfect backdrop for a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice if you're looking to enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility of the Scottish Highlands. I cannot recommend it enough!
Set in a converted cluster of fisherman’s houses along Portree Harbour the hotel offers plenty of character and quirks. There are 17 en-suite bedrooms with all expected facilities.

Tremendous location. Good bar and restaurant. The grilled langoustines were particularly delicious. The full Scottish breakfast was just right. The staff were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to help when necessary.

Totally agree with what all the other reviews said, ie photos don’t do the actual apartment justice! Everything was perfect. The apartment was well equipped and it was spotless, cleaner than my own apartment! Shona was the most friendly host. We had so much fun chatting and sharing stories. The pantry was well stocked, from dried goods to fruits, cheese, milk, juices, beers! The bed was very comfortable. Hot water and heating were super efficient as well. In short, the best short term stay we experienced yet!
The sunsets at Portnalong Pier were impressive.
We ate at the Taigh Ailean hotel in Portnalong. The food and drinks we had there were great, especially the very fresh seafood.
If you are driving around Fiskavaig, you need to get used to single track roads quickly! But there isn't much traffic, so it's not a big problem.
There is an easy hike to Talisker Beach from Fiskavaig. However, there is a fairly long walk on roads if you want to avoid doing any driving.
