The room was large, with comfortable seating arrangements and a great king size bed. The bathroom and shower were bigger than normal, and included a bathtub. The breakfast was very good, and both Kevin and Kim were very pleasant and helpful in providing useful information, along with friendly chatter about daily life.

A walk on a winter night, Doune appeared to be a nice country town. Very tidy,no obvious litter lying around.
For the size of the town,a lot of privately owned shops and businessess.
As my business was out of town, I never seen much more!
I will be sure to return, hopefully with more time to explore.

Quiet village, not a lot going on.
Quiet village, not a lot going on. Has one big pub/hotel serving meals and drinks and a few small shops. Doune castle very close to this property also some good places to walk and run just around the village. COnvenient for Stirling and Dunblane and easy to get to outdoor walking areas if you have a car.

Loved Doune.
Loved Doune. It has the Castle even though when I visited the Castle was closed for renovations. About a couple miles out there is a monument dedicated to David Stirling SAS. I actually walked and never realised until on route that there was no actual paths so many a time I jumped in hedges to on coming traffic. Thankfully I was wearing bright yellow raincoat!. The must see is the cemetery/ruins of Kilmadock. Easiest route is A84 from Doune, pass the Antiques centre, pass through Buchany and when you see signs for Doune stables to the right - opposite is a footpath sign taking you down to the path that leads through the woods to the ancient cemetery - worth seeing. On the last day of every month people of the ROOK ( Rescuers Of Old Kilmadock) clean/tidy the grave stones and I managed to be there and speak to them. .

Very pleasant small Scottish town.
Very pleasant small Scottish town. Doune Castle is a must - 3 intact floors! Cafes and shops had great choice and good quality, with decent opening hours. It's not totally flat, so may be challenging for wheelchair users, but accessibility seemed better than average.

A lovely little town with a stunning castle!!
A lovely little town with a stunning castle!! Fans of Outlander, Game of Thrones and Monty Python it’s an absolute must.
A perfect staging area for visits to Stirling, edinburgh & Glasgow for those with a car.
A traditional coaching Inn which while not modern was clean, comfortable and good value. Single room came with spacious bathroom with large shower. Good location in the centre of the village and a great breakfast served by friendly staff. It must be said that there was very little going on in Doune on a Monday night, so no food or drink options at the hotel or anywhere else. Was offered the use of a microwave at the hotel but in the end chose to have a sandwich in the sun!
Staff are all excellent very welcoming and friendly with first class service - the outstanding feature of the weekend.
Apartment is really well laid out very clean with top quality fittings.
Location - even in the torrential rain is good, everything close at hand and accessible and lovely walks -weather permitting !!!
Having the hotel facilities next door for reasonably priced good food etc was very convenient, giving the dreadful weather during our stay.
The staff were friendly and check in was stress free. We had a lovely room, relatively small but nicely decorated, with everything we could want, including a comfortable bed and free drinks and snacks. The bathroom looked like it had recently been renovated and had great shower. The food was great - lots of choice in the evening and a really good breakfast too. Probably the best hotel I've stayed in in the central belt of Scotland, so hope to stay again.
This hotel is amazing ... absolutely spotlessly clean you could eat your dinner off the shower screen especially...lovely decorated room really stylish comfy bed and loved the extra touch of two cans lemonade Pringles and biscuits with a personal note from manager ...lovely beer garden and spacious bar and restaurant with amazing food ...could not fault a thing including the staff and we will definitely be returning
We were warmly welcomed by hostess, and every staff. Beautiful facility, comfortable room, and a wonderful restaurant for dinner. The complementary breakfast was a full service from the menu, not a free breakfast I’ve had from hotels.
Wow. Fantastic stay. Very nice. Great Sunday roast. Stayed Oct 29th, so staff in Halloween swag. Our server and bartender.. excellent. Room comfortable and breakfast perfect. Highly recommend. Very close to Doune Castle.
The hotel has just been renovated and it is lovely. our room was really comfortable and the staff was great. We had wonderful food in the restaurant too. My husband hd some of the best fish and chips of our whole trip here.
Lovely quiet location in a lovely studio. Hosts were wonderful even supplying some croissants, jam and fruit cake. Highly recommended stay for anyone wanting a lovely private stay outside of town (Doune).
Good, spacious house in a peaceful village, ideal base for exploring Central Scotland.
Short walk to Doune Castle and good walks beside River Teith. Park nearby for kids also good.
Modern, simple but fully equipped fit a long weekend. Central location with the ability apartment being adjacent to the hotel made eating and drinking easy.
