Everything. Location, friendliness, cleanliness and food. The attention to detail was incredible. I had the best sleep ever. Beach on the door step. Cocktails and shortbread waiting in the room and rocking chairs on the veranda . Every member of staff were happy to help and offer advice about the area. A real hidden gem.

Lovely room, modern decor. The bed was so comfortable. We really liked that our room had access to the outside decking, perfect for an early morning cup of coffee or to watch the sunset. Monica and Santa were so accomadating. Breakfast was very tasty.

Dornoch is such a wonderful town.
Dornoch is such a wonderful town. I was amazed by the architecture from various periods but the Georgian and Edwardian stood out and looked stunning in red sandstone! The castle hotel bar is a must see, also the cathedral where Madonna got married to Guy Ritchie and also Elon Musk got married there too! The beech walks and also the Golf course, rated as the number 1 golf course in Scotland (I spoke to golfers at this festival who gave me their honest opinions) with a links style supposedly better than St Andrews! Although I was there for the local whisky festival, the people were so pleasant and made you feel so welcome and the hotel/ pubs were outstanding with the accompanying food menu's were superb.

Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach.
Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach. The Museum and Heritage Trail are very interesting and well worth the time. The cathedral is worth a visit and there are some interesting shops to explore. And we noticed an electric car charging point! We only stayed one night but it would have been better to have stayed for two as we didn't have enough time to visit all the attractions.

I am not a golfer but for golfers it is a paradise.
Unfortunately, on this occasion time pressures precluded a longer stay but it is a destination which I know quite well and would have no hesitation in recommending a visit to visitors to the area.
Dee and Nigel were very warm, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and modern. Breakfast was delicious and customer service exceptional. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend to our friends. The outdoor country atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. So nice to have a gathering room and breakfast area where our three couples could gather together in the evening and mornings, to plan out the day and brag about our golf experience.
We were gifted our stay by our family gif my husbands 70th birthday and could not fault it. The room was clean and well laid out, beds were comfortable and the food was very tasty. Staff were amazing and the owner even took us to one of the local distilleries due to a limited taxi service in the area; this was again a present for my husbands birthday.
we would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel
WELL WE CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT IN ARE YEARS OF TRAVELLING , THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST B&B WE HAVE STAYED IN !!!!!!! CLEANLINESS WAS 2ND TO NONE & THE FOOD & SERVICE WAS 5 STAR HOTEL MATERIAL . LOCATION WAS GREAT FOR DORNOCH BEECH. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!!!!!!! WE WILL WITH OUT DOUBT BE STAYING THERE WHEN WERE IN THAT AREA . THANK YOU DEE & NIGEL !!!!!! REGARDS JOHN & JAN
So sad to see this grand old hotel so run down. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were very good. This hotel has highlights and lowlights and anyone can see it needs a large injection of cash but I would love to see it back up and running properly. Dornoch is an expensive resort so this hotel still represents good value for money.
A very comfortable, clean apartment, in an ideal position in Dornoch.
Loved the heated floors in Kitchen and Bathroom!
Bed was very comfortable, and plenty of hot water for shower.
Great location to travel on 'day trips' up the NC500 or drive down to Inverness.
We would certainly recommend to friends and family.
Very well organised, easy to book, warm welcome.
Chalet decorated with obvious thought and and care, to a high standard of comfort and quality.
Comfortable beds and really excellent shower.
Spotlessly clean.
Well located for A9 and Dornoch.
This is a fabulous hotel - we loved everything - the friendly professional staff, the beautiful interiors of the hotel and our rooms, the location right next to the Royal Dornoch Golf club and the sea. Breakfast was amazing too! Faultless.
Location was excellent, near the golf course and walking distance to all the attractions in Dornoch. Quality of the food ingredients was good. The ambience in the bar and restaurant was lovely, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful
Easy check in. Responsive host when we couldn't find kettle - bizarrely it was in dishwasher! Amazing beaches, golf courses, golf range, good pubs and shops one mile away in Dornoch , stunning sunrise behind caravan.
Dornoch is a little remote but has a fabulous beach for walking.
The breakfast fayre is excellent and the breakfast tea is fantastic.
This hotel is ideal for golfers and the golf course is highly rated worldwide
Great location in the Highlands with a lovely en-suite facility. Breakfast was delicious and enough for lunch as well! Very helpful owner with their friendly retriever!
beautiful old building, super sweeping staircase and nice public areas.
