The staff were brilliant - couldn’t have been better.
I found the bed hard and uncomfortable, and the lighting in the bedroom was too dim to read by which was a problem because I was unwell for two days and had to be in bed a fair while.
But the thing that persuaded me to vote low was some of the other guests who happened to be opposite our room. They made our stay very uncomfortable.
But I repeat, the staff were wonderful.

We were told initially that for the type of room I’d requested, we wouldn’t be able to get a sea view room. When we arrived we found that we had in fact been given a sea view room! Which was a nice surprise.

Beautiful property ideally located on the promenade. Room was well maintained and spacious, very comfortable and overlooking the sea. Staff were exceptional and very friendly. Pete was very welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. He clearly loves his job and is an excellent ambassador for the Halvard Hotel. Rachel, Chloe and Grace also very friendly and efficient.
