Friendly staff. Very clean. Good sized room. Large comfortable bed. Not a huge choice for breakfast but adequate and good quality... excellent porridge. Can't quite make up my mind about the evening meal, it didn't quite hit the spot, as if the chef was trying too hard....and far too much salt, after 2 meals we ate elsewhere on our third night. Still, a good hotel and I will happily stay again.

The hut was lovely -particularly appreciated the eco values & compost loo. Nice area, and lots of options for food and things to do locally.
Had a very warm welcome from the hosts, and also in the nearby town which was really friendly too.

Everything from the staff to the room to the facilities provided, I got married on Friday May 24th and booked a standard room that upon telling the reception why I had booked they upgraded my room to the executive suite, and on top of that let us have use of the Johnstone room to get ready on the morning of the wedding, then again went the extra mile and turned the executive suite into the honeymoon suite for me and Husband to arrive back to after the big day. Everything was so so special and they really did think of every single detail to make that added extra special touch! thank you so so much, would highly recommend to anyone needing a hotel in the future!

Trigony House is a characterful country property set in beautiful grounds close to the attractive small town of Thornhill. The staff are attentive and friendly; the rooms traditional but with all mod-cons and supremely comfortable. Dinner and breakfast of a very high standard and a well stocked and reasonably priced bar all make for a memorable stay and a promise to return.
