Shanti and her son could not do enough for us. The breakfast was cooked to order. This is a home from home place and was fairly central and close to where we needed to be.

Depends what you want for a holiday.

Depends what you want for a holiday. We like peace and quiet. Burghead only has one shop and it is adequate. Hopeman, (2 miles away), has a nice chip shop and we could recommended it. Propertyhad every cooking facility you would have at home, so no need to eat out unless you want to. Plenty little places round and about to see and if you want bigger stores, Elgin is only 7 miles away.

Lovely old village with an extensive sandy beach, and massive forest, on its doorstep. Very dog friendly area and plenty of pooches about. Couple of shops and a Chinese takeaway in the village but Elgin easily accessible for mainstream stores etc. There is also a small restaurant but not visited.

Burghead sits on a headland between a beautiful bay with golden sandy safe ,clean beach and a rocky coastline on the other side . Fantastic views all round and close to links to other places. Ideal place to stay. Beach and forest walks all close by and its on the Moray Trail, also suitable for cyclists.
