Lovely place to stay, with friendly helpful staff and excellent value. Located on the edge of the town it is an easy walk to what is a nice town with plenty of character. A good location for exploring the area

Relaxing stay with wonderful surroundings. The golf course was in good condition considering the winter we’ve had. The location is excellent if you wanted to visit other areas of this area. We would return in the future for another visit.

Breakfast very good.
Evening meal very nice and tasty...salmon cooked wonderfully althoughI did feel there was heavy use of salt on the potato section of my meal. But overall, the meal and service was fine.

Borgue is rural so definitely need bikes or car to get around. However if you want to stay in the same place it’s perfect for walking, bird watching and just chilling out in the garden.
Everyone is very friendly and the local borgue hotel is great for a refreshing drink and bar meal and they also welcome dogs in the bar.
A very memorable hamlet inbetween kirkudbright and gatehouse of fleet.
