We were only here for a night but needed to go in the town for breakfast. There were plenty of places to eat, a cinema and shops. We liked the facilities and would visit again. There are lots of lovely places around to drive to within a reasonable time, such as Caerphilly Castle and Cardiff.

McKenzies cafe. they do the best food in the area, breakfast to die for, staff are soooooo nice and polite. They were so helpful in sorting out a "Takeout" for the journey home. Parking (at the time) was free, behind the main street (coming in off the roundabout 50 yards on the right, sharp right). Asda, drive past (on your right) about half a mile, turn right, half a mile back to the shop ?? Nice cinema.
The pub has lots of parking and in a good location to visit family living in the area.
The rooms are clean and functional, with tea/coffee/milk/biscuits provided.
Although the rooms are located above a busy bar we weren’t bothered by any noise issues and has a comfortable sleep. Breakfast isn’t available but there’s plenty of cafes in Blackwood to grab something to eat.
The hotel is in a great location and ha excellent facilities.
Room was well appointed, comfortable bed and a good shower.
Dinner was good with plenty of choice.
