Good value and very nice food at a charming hotel on the village green. It’s bigger than it looks and does cater for coach parties but this didn’t impact on our stay. Comfy large ground floor room and welcoming for our dog.
It was a one night stop over on our travels, but the proximity to Loch Lomond and the warm welcome would encourage us to come back to spend more time here exploring the area in the future.
Located just outside Glasgow, West Highland Way Hotel and Campsite is a 5-star rated property located on the West Highland Way, a short drive away from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Andru was really great host. He explained history of area and showed me around and explained everything so well. The main house is really lovely and other guests are in dinning room and we can chat about their day or the day ahead they are having. My room was single room but has everything I wanted. Wi-Fi was also very good. I really recommend this place if you want to be away from hustle & bustle of Glasgow and hiking / biking around here is excellent and I did a great hike.

The guest house is right on the West Highland Way. We did not have the breakfast offered because we wanted to leave early for our West Highland Way but the guest house offered us a breakfast roll . They had vegan choices for the milk for our tea which was appreciated. They offered a range of DVDs to watch on the TV and a lovely piece of cake on our arrival by our host.Quiet and relaxed stay. Comfortable beds.

The location was fabulous .... a rural location on the outskirts of Drymen. Very convenient for visits to Loch Lomond, Balmaha, Rowardennan, Balloch, and for hiking on the West Highland Way and and climbing/walking on local hills. Plus a relatively short drive to Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh.
Exceptionally comfortable and modern property. Warm and cosy and very well appointed. Owner, Jenny, met with us on arrival and gave us some helpful guidance on local attractions and nearby pubs and eateries.

We didn’t spend much time in Balfron, but the city is located close to many of the places we had planned to go to, such as Balloch, The Trossachs, the Devils Pulpit and if we had had mire time, we would have made a trip to Glasgow.
