the breakfast was excellent the staff were very good, the location of the hotel was really good. there was a problem due to the fact that we had our dog with us and the booking company had not informed the hotel that we had our dog with us, the owners very kindly resolved the issue , managing to swap our room with a guest that was in a dog friendly lodge with no dog,

Cross Keys Inn Ettrickbridge, hotel in Ashkirk

This was a favorite stay on our trip. We stayed at many different places during our trip, but my kids liked this place the best. The staff was super friendly, the food was awesome, and the area was so quiet and quaint. There isn't a lot in the town, so if you are looking for shopping this may not be the place for you. We woke up and went for a long walk, the locals were very friendly and helped us find a good route. The inn was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was a surprise, we assumed basic pub food, which was not the case. It was fresh and delicious.

Built in 1857, this guest house started life as a Royal Bank of Scotland building.

Everything was first class. Donna is amazing! Everything is catered for, ironing board and iron, hairdryer, kettle and drinks, hot water bottle. The bed was comfy. Loads of room . The decor is magazine standard with original art works. The shower room is clean and serviceable. The breakfasts are wonderful and there's even a juke box to listen to whilst you eat. Nothing is too much trouble. It's right in High Street which is very convenient. Parking is behind the property .
