Cute little hotel, room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast options were great, for a small extra fee of 7 euros. Staff was incredibly friendly. Overall great stay and would go back anytime! Small little terrace with some chairs to relax, with a view of the mountains. Close to Soto de Cangas, Covadonca, and Lago de Enol, which was amazing!

The location was perfect. Right by the Coterie Royals. So lovely to see the river in the morning. Great Napoleon mural in every room.
Please make travellers aware that on arrival at this hotel...
Please make travellers aware that on arrival at this hotel there could be a chance of a scam because they told me that their internet was down and that I had to pay in cash. The bill presented was considerably more than the agreed confirmed price with Booking.com. I questioned this amount, and they told me it was for local taxes and although unhappy I paid 96.82 Euro when I suspected the confirmed price was £52 +2 breakfasts which at the exchange rate for that day came to 71.24Euro. The room was adequate but very cold and even though the heating was working it took a long time to become comfortable. On closer inspection of the invoice, I noted that I had been charged for five breakfasts not local taxes although there was only my wife and I in our party and we were booked in a double room. When I took this up with the receptionist, she called the manager who insisted that this was local taxes and out of his control when the bill actually stated that we had been charged for five petit dejeuner, not the two we had ordered. The manager refused to budge and was most insistent that this was local tax on tourists but relented when I said that I was not happy about this as there was no mention of local taxes on the invoice only the extra breakfasts and I said that I was going to call the local police to look into the matter at which point he refunded me the cost of the three extra breakfasts and blamed the mix-up on Booking.com. I suspect that this man was operating a scam on foreign travellers and the payment in cash made it possible for him to skim the extra cash off the top. We stayed in three other Ibis properties on our trip and were charged exactly what was stated on the confirmation notice sent after we had booked. The speed with which he refunded the excess charge when I mentioned calling the local police also added to my suspicions.

A not too busy city with everything anyone could wish for.
A not too busy city with everything anyone could wish for. Has style and a period elegance combined with a history of greatness. However very important to be aware of ‘Priorité à droite' as many cross-roads.

Rochefort is a fascinating historic town.
Rochefort is a fascinating historic town. It has a variety of museums, interactive displays of historic life, such as the Corderie, and beautiful architecture around every corner.
A boat trip to Île d'Aix is a must, to get away from the bustle of the town for a few hours.

Leaving the hotel we were not asked if our stay was
Good . I can say honestly I would never return. A complete nightmare .
This place is truly unique. Where else can you stay in a well-decorated and -equipped 400-square-foot apartment in a 17th/18th century naval arsenal complex for €80 per night, including continental breakfast on the terrace of its Piece a Cafe restaurant, which overlooks one of Rochefort's marinas. The staff in its L'Annexe building were also super friendly and helpful.

Excellent location with the town within easy walking distance and the car in a secure garage, a real bonus in Rochefort. Gilles was very helpful and made us feel welcome. The little appartement was very clean, lots of hot water, fridge on ready for us, and we thought it the best value for money we’ve found in Rochefort.
The location is exceptional, very quiet; when you walk in the morning/evening, you are right in the middle of piece of history. The proximity to the Corderie Royale is really what makes this place stands out.
The hotel was pet friendly. Breakfast (staff & choice of food offered) was good.
We stayed here one night on our way to a campsite. The hosts were lovely and the apartment was very pleasant. It is close to restaurants and markets and I would recommend this place to any families staying in Rochefort, particularly because the hosts are so welcoming.
A very unique property in Rochefort. Most attentive and charming couple - Sandrine and Pascal- who made our 3 night stay a whole experience. Large
, inviting common spaces for guest use. Full breakfast. Honour bar. Good access to interesting sites and restaurants.
The hotel is in fantastic location and ideal for walking around the local attractions. The breakfast was very good and a comfortable stay. We were lucky with the weather therefore able to use the outdoor pool.
Really friendly family run hotel in a brilliant location in the center of Rochefort. They were really helpful, and the home made cakes at breakfast were lovely. Room was well furnished, quiet and comfortable.
The really friendly welcome. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was excellent. An excellent price quality ratio. Our room was on the second floor.. There are also rooms arranged around a courtyard.
