It's only a short bus ride into the centre of Rambouillet (including the train station: Gare SNCF) or you can walk it in 35 minutes.
It's quite a pleasant walk after the first 5 minutes which you spend navigating through the commercial/industrial area.
The advantage of the above area is that restaurants, a huge supermarket and a large McDonald's are just a few minutes' walk from the hotel if you need them.
The breakfast was ok (although no gluten-free options: maybe you need to tell them in advance).
Cédric was the only staff member I met and he is VERY helpful.
It makes such a big difference when hotels have pleasant and considerate staff who "go the extra mile".

During my 4-night-stay, I wondered why there weren’t so many guests. The two guys, who run the hotel, are super nice, take care of everything and fulfill every wish.
The hotel is cheaper than the comparable hotels closeby and it’s standard is extremely high. I had a perfect stay, thank you for that!

The property is very clean, well equipped kitchen and laundry, coffee service and close access to the bus line. We did not have a car, and once we figured out the bus line/service it made the entire town availalbe. We loved Rambouilette and hope to come back for future visits. It's proximity to Paris and Versailles is perfect and the people are very nice.

It is great location to stay with the car, so you can choose directions to different areas by car. (We travelled to north-east places, Giverny, Abbey, and to the south Chambord, Blois)
There is also train station, but we didn't used it, but it should be nice point if you want to go to Paris.
Rambouillet center is not so interesting as it looks
French restaurants, which are not "fast foods" working very small period of times, afternoon, and then in evening.

Lovely town surrounded by a fantastic forest and lots of interesting villages to visit.
The town has a beautiful chateau and park with lakes and wonderful walks.
There are lots of shops and restaurants on the main thoroughfare and a few minutes out of the town a large shopping centre.
Beautiful fully equipped apartment with lovely garden.
The apartment was in a great location a 10 minute walk from the town centre.
Sebastian the owner was easy to contact and met us at the front door and helped us park.
He had furnished the flat in a really tasteful fashion and had given attention to everything you could need... good quality coffee machine ,hair dryer, washing machine, lighting, furniture...wtc

Did not stay in hotel went and booked elsewhere as weVery bad hotel room very dated and not clean. Not as advertised on booking dot.com room was not fit for purpose.not even a one star tape on maim door handle inside and out holding door handle on .felt very intimidated and worried due to women screaming outside my room and sounded like they were being assaulted was not clean at all .

the hotel reception was so helpful. he showed us the nearby restaurant. I also left my eyeglasses when I checked out and I just contacted the hotel, very responsive and so helpful. The service is way beyond my expectation.
Exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price. The room was beautifully set out and very pleasant to stay in. The host was extremely obliging and flexible. Location is perfect for central Rambouillet and the park.
Lovely hotel, modern, outside seating on ground floor, bedrooms and in front of restaurant. Swimming pool looked fab, unfortunately didn't have time to enjoy it. Will certainly use the hotel again.
