Port-en-Bessin is a small fishing village that has a wide range of restaurants and small hotels. It is easy to get to from Caen port and is good as a base to visit local beaches and other areas of historic interest. The harbour is always busy with the local fishermen going out to sea at various times. Ample free parking along the harbour.

Great little fishing Port. Lots to see and do. Seafood Restaurants cannot be beaten ans great selection of them. Excellent location for travelling out to various museums and the local museum is a stunning collection recovered from the sea by a local diver who's lifetime's work is displayed ,from uniform buttons to FULL TANKS. Omaha Beach GC is one of the most demanding in the area with cliff top views of the beach. I have stayed here for over 10 years without regret.

Excellently situated hotel within a ten minute walk to the harbour and its restaurants. The hotel's partner restaurant is also first class. During our four day stay we only met with Delphine, the owner, but she could not have been kinder or more helpful throughout. She is lovely. Breakfast was an excellent version of what you would expect in France: delicious bread, croissants, fruit, yogurt, juices, and coffee/tea. Our room was comfortable and well decorated.
Location was super, house was great, beautiful surrounding especially for visiting the invasion beaches, port en bessin huppain is a beautiful fishing village, eating fish in the lovely restaurants
Breakfast was good, a lot of choice and it wasn't all spread out over a long distance! Staff were welcoming in the hotel. Rooms were quiet and bed was comfortable. It was good to have a bathtub.
