The hotel is well situated about 15 mins away from Nimes airport. The bedroom was large, clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel staff were excellent and there was a nice outside sitting area where we had drinks. A very pleasant hotel to spend an evening.

A beautiful hotel with elegant furnishings: we had a very spacious room and luxurious bathroom. Breakfast was exceptional, served in elegant surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble. The pool was lovely on a warm afternoon after a long train journey.

Super clean!!! The floor shone, the bathroom was perfect. Everything looked new and spotless. Comfortable bed (brilliant). Really friendly and professional staff. They let me leave my rucksack with them (after check-out) until my train was due. The location is perfect - central but in a quiet area. There was an elevator (which is always a bonus). With arguably the most impressive Roman heritage outside Rome, Nîmes is truly a sight to behold. Its most awe-inspiring structure is the virtually intact Roman amphitheatre. The gladiators are long gone, but a matador statue outside gives an idea of its current use, which is most celebrated during the annual Feria.
Another amazing Roman monument is the Maison Carrée, a colonnaded temple. The Temple of Diana is less well preserved, but still maintains some of its arched roof and interior details. The peaceful, surrounding Fontaine Gardens cover the grounds of the former Roman baths and still contain elegant water features.
Also water-related is the incredible Pont du Gard, a triple-arched Roman aqueduct across a river north-east of Nîmes. Other Roman remains include the Tour Magne, and 2 gates that allowed access through the city walls.
The Nîmes Archaeological Museum in the former Jesuit college provides background to this history and also houses the Warrior of Grezan, a pre-Roman statue. Another museum houses a fine art collection, and the simple cathedral is also worth visiting.

We went to Nimes for a specific reason with approximately 30 friends to listen to music of our choice being played by UK DJ's so did not venture into Nimes. I must say though talking to others who have been to Nimes previously and have made time to go into the city it sounds like it was an opportunity missed on my behalf as there are some lovely tours to take and historic places to visit.

don't expect the usual old town full of stalls and late night shops----everything is expensive niche shops which all close early, and there's nothing to do except eat. but the roman arena is cool, the park is awesome, and the pizza place next to the arena is wicked

We started with a little tourist train ride around the old town which gave us perspective. Then it was easy to visit the various sites by foot. The old town has a laid back vibe but offers some great museums, restaurants and gardens.

I think Nimes is the perfect size city to visit with enough touristy things to do and night life (as a solo 30s female traveler). It's so pretty with winding streets, loads of bars and restaurants, shopping, and a train station. I wish it was a little more connected to other areas, like Pont du Gard wasn't the easiest to get to - had to walk about 40 min or take an inner-city bus (15m) to catch another bus to the Pont du Gard - and the bus pickup spot wasn't very well marked. But once figured out, it was fine! I even happened upon a little wine & rock event that was very affordable and so fun! At first, I wondered if I should have stayed in Avignon instead, but I actually preferred Nimes over both Avignon and Montpellier!

We regretted not stopping in one of the many smaller towns along the route, perhaps closer to the sea
This is really well located with access to the airport coach in front of the hotel and train station in front too. The coach from the airport coincides with the arrival times of.the flights so easy to get on to get to Nimes centre or other places. Breakfast was really good in the hotel. There is a coffee machine and water and juice machine for use by guests on tap all day. The room is soundproof and has air conditioning. Windows can be opened if you prefer. This is a budget hotel but was much better than expected.
A great hotel! So clean and comfortable and the staff really nice, they even let us check in a lot earlier than normal and we got to rest for the morning, which we really needed. This is definitely the place to stay in Nimes!
Quirky decor, great location central Nimes, bar and restaurant at hotel but others nearby if preferred. One way system for cars confused us but did eventually find underground parking paid for by hotel
The hotel is in a decent location in Nimes, not too far from the main city. The bar area is very nice and breakfast was pleasant on the morning of check out.
