We were staying in between seasons, scouting places for returning to ski in winter. Les Gets seems to be perfectly set for skiing. It is part of the much larger ski area called Portes de Soleil, with lots of lifst, trails, and varying terrain. We can't comment on the skiing yet, but we will definitely be back in Les Gets to ski as soon as we can (or as soon as the snow comes :-). Les Gets has all the infrastructure of a modern ski resort, with lost of accommodations, rental shops, ski schools, etc. And yet it feels compact, easy to walk around, safe, and overall wecoming and friendly

I like the short transfer from Geneva Airport.
I like the short transfer from Geneva Airport. It’s a small Village, nice restaurants and cafés good variety of ski hire shops easy walking distance to main lifts in the village. Le Tyrol was our favourite restaurant, important to book. We have been going for over 12 years and found a lot of places have closed and been replaced by new developments which we feel has taken away from the quaint area it was.

Les Gets is a thriving ski town in the Alps located close to Morzine. There is plenty to do and see in both the winter and the summer. It is clean, safe and friendly. There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. It is easy to food shop for great French produce and cook and dine at home.
Alot of new building in recent years is nearing completion. It seems that there will be plenty of places to rent or own as a first or second home.

I love Les Gets we've been here many times in the winter to ski, so it was good to see it in the summer as well. Lots to do, mountain biking, road cycling, walking, trail running etc.
The Creperie les Gets, just off the main road, slightly hidden, is our favourite restaurant, very friendly and good food.
Much quieter here than Morzine, and you can cycle between the two towns or get the bus, if you like it to be busier, then Morzine might be a better base.

Lovely location, it has everything you need, gift shops, supermarket, bars and restaurants. Various activities in the evening to join in on.
Lots of ski hire shops to choose from, all staff very helpful. Skiing is great too, lifts and slopes are maintained. ESF ski school is fantastic, the children got on so well and were skiing after just 3 lessons.
Montreax comedy night was hilarious.

I have gone to Les Gets often over the years and I love the ambiance and the town and amenities.
The skiing is amazing and you can access such a large parte of the Portes du Soleil easily my car, bus or skiing.
We know Les Gets in the summer very well and this apartment is in the perfect location for a summer holiday. It is quick and easy to walk to the boulangerie in the morning, into town or up to the lake. The beds were very comfy and the hosts were quick to communicate with and very helpful. The terrace was big with sun loungers and a wooden table and chairs and it had a nice view across the field and up the mountain. It does not get the sun after mid day which was a shame. Good, easy parking.
Location was brilliant - a short walk to the main chair / cable car lift going out of Les Gets. With more snow, would have been an even shorter walk to the drag lift. Food was excellent (3 course dinner every night), breakfast was also an excellent spread. A warm welcome from the hosts who were flexible and ready to answer any questions.
A nice hotel in a quiet place but at the same time very close to the village center. Well furnished and cozy room with a nice terrace and view of the mountains surrounding. A private and free garage to store bikes / skis is a plus for sportsers. Breakfast within the standard.
nice clean rooms, great breakfast, friendly lively locals bar attached. Ideal location. Handy spa/hot tub. Stayed in Les Gets many many times, first time in Alpen sports but will definitely return.
