This is exactly what we we wanted, a nice 'family feel' traditional hotel with a friendly welcoming host and in a nice quiet village in Champagne, with easy free parking and a fine breakfast included. As a bonus there is an adjoining tea room with outside garden seating which was excellent for enjoying a glass of beer and/or champagne.
The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is quirky with some interesting features. Room was very spacious with lovely decor. Cool courtyard with random sitting areas. Breakfast was very good. The hotel also has a shop selling interesting objects, tearoom and bar.
The breakfast was good. The host was friendly. The actual bedroom was a bit old fashioned but fine. The hotel is very run down with poor lighting, worn carpets and doors. The location is excellent. Both the local Pizza cafe and French restaurant are very good.
