We had a wonderful week at the place of Nathalie and Jean. We spend seven days full of joy, could relax perfectly at the beautiful pool and had great activities with kajak, canyoning and dancing!
Natahalie and Jean are perfect hosts, they gave us a lot of recommendations, made reservations in restaurants and shared their experiences with us.
We will definitely come back again and recommend guests to stay a few days if it‘s possible.
Thank to Nathalie and Jean for her warm welcome in their house!

Very clean room with comfortable bed
Lovely lady who checked us in, presided over the breakfast buffet and also seemed to do the cleaning. Always cheerful, friendly and helpful

Location was close to the motorway but also in the centre of town, with free parking just a few metres away. Good terrace at the front to enjoy a drink, despite the wet weather.
This charming hotel is situated on top of a small hill overlooking the vineyards of the Mâconnais, and it benefits from an exceptional location in quiet and peaceful surroundings.

The evening meal was excellent and good value for money. The accommodation was OK but reflected the 2 star rating for the hotel. We will return on our occasional trips to the South of France.

The hotel had really easy access to the motorway and created a lovely Arabic-style atmosphere in the decor and architecture of the lovely restaurant, which had tasty food at a reasonable price. We would definitely go again as it is a really pretty little town.

Friendly staff and a highly talented chef. Pleasant location on the edge of a charming small town.
We have stayed at Les Cadoles for 10 days and 10 nights.
We have stayed at Les Cadoles for 10 days and 10 nights.
During this period, we were able to experience all that the guesthouse had to offer.
After first staying in another Gîte for 14 days we decided that this concept isn’t really suited for us as a holiday with 2 small children (2&4).
How wrong were we, when we came through the gate at Les Cadoles we were welcomed by Nathalie and we were made to feel at home from day 1.
Due to the enclosure, it is ideal for children as they cannot run away and all the facilities were to our liking being modern and practical (and cozy!).
Nathalie and Jean (and their children) made us feel welcome, trusted us and invited us into their home and family in a very natural way.
We loved staying at Les cadoles and will enjoy going back at some point!
Merci tres bien Nathalie et Famille, a bientôt!!
P.S. a sight to remember: the view on the beautiful house when relaxing in the salt water swimming pool!
Le Chardon is wonderful, nestled in the quiet and safe small village of Chardonnay, famous by name but quite unknown. Warm welcome by Sophie and family, very nice after the long drive. Very cozy atmosphere. Comfortable beds and shower, everything was very clean. It still has the historical atmosphere, with the modern comforts. 16th century wooden floors!
High point were the delicious steaks and crème brûlée made by Sophie. Needless to say, best glass of Chardonnay ever.
Charming hotel run by an adorable young couple. Sofi is English and her husband is French. The food is good, room was everything I needed it to be - comfortable bed, hot shower, view of surrounding countryside from bedroom window. Breakfast was simple and delicious, dinner was very good. Gluten free bread to order and a host who understands the challenges of food intolerances. We will be back.
Well, if you are searching for a modern but 110% French stay in the Burgundy, stop searching! Contact Nathalie and book!
And yes, there is always a better place, more privacy, more hotel like Chambres but there is only one Nathalie .
And if you combine her with Jean, Nox, location flora, vin and luxury like the Pool.........that what it is all about in the Burgundy.
We stayed overnight...Sophie & Flo are a lovely couple. Le Chardon is a great place to stay in the heart of Chardonnay. Sophie is a fab chef too!
The bed is very comfortable and the room/ensuite is immaculate..Breakfast is continental with croissants to die for!
