The location was amazing - just downstairs and out to everything you could need for a beautiful evening. Near the forest for a little walk after dinner to enjoy the long summer night. There was coffee, tea and breakfast items which was a plus - would stay again in a flash- loved it.

Our host Jean Paul was very responsive to all our needs. The location in the middle of Barbizon is excepional and still quite. Everything within walking distance. We loved the pool and the charming and romantic cottage. Would definitelly come again.

Wonderful place to stay, Bohemian and eclectic but also super comfortable with high end appliances and lots of space . Our host was hospitable and the location was right in the center of the artist village .

The location is just perfect, everything we needed is just around the hotel. Moreover, the staff was absolutely amazing and very friendly. The room was clean and a great value for the money.

I went to Barbizon because of the art- the museums etc.. Normally all national museums in France are closed on Mondays, here they were closed on Tuesdays! i was very very disappointed.
The tourist Office, in the month of August, with a village full of tourists, is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays too, it is absolutely scandalous. Many private art galleries were closed too, it's pathetic.... and I am French!
Do NOT miss the Besharat Museum gallery, with its stunning exhibition of modern art, sculptures and amazing paintings, plus a beautifully restored house and large garden; and hall exhibition. a gem.
And do go for delicious real cuisine at the "le Gaulois sur le grill", 3 stars. friendly staff too!
Very spacious room, huge bed, really nicely presented, and we had a balcony. There was a bidet in the bathroom which is also a nice bonus. More importantly, there was a free EV charger at the hotel parking which was excellent. It needs to be added to the hotel description! The swimming pool and the sauna were also lovely to relax in.
Lovely property full of charm and good vibes. The house is beautiful and they take care of everyone like you are at home. The garden is wonderful and we slept so well on the quiet plot. While it is a short walk from the main parts of Barbizon, it is not that far and nice to do after the good meals in the village. Highly recommend.
The property and grounds were amazing. The bedroom was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was delightful. Francois was "vraiment sympathique", and prepared a wonderful breakfast which we enjoyed on our private terrace.

the property and breakfast were both lovely, but the biggest highlight is the owners charming and welcoming attitude. Hat's off to Claire and Freddy, and their friendly pets Parker (dog) and cat.
Barbizon itself is also sweet and charming and there are nice walks in the forest.
Our room was lovely and included a balcony overlooking a patio, pool and woods. Staff here was exceptionally friendly, young and eager to please... which they did. Barbizon is a charming and beautiful little village. There are nice restaurants, museums and shops to peruse.
The town is magical and the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast was very good. Yum, a salmon omelette. The terrace off our room was very relaxing, bed comfy and room size was huge. The tiled bathroom exquisite. I'd definitely return.

Very good location - 2 min to the forest and 4 min walk to Barbizon center, clean, comfy and quiet place next to a bus stop.

We never saw the staff/host, but they left the key in the postbox for us. Room was reasonably clean. Very good location in Barbizon. You need a car though because taxis are not easy to find and neither are the buses.
The property itself was as in the pictures. It was in a good location for those wishing to explore Barbizon. Accessing the keys was straightforward and the host provided the code well ahead of time.
We had a delightful stay at La Bastide de Barbizon. The place is charming and the host/hostess are extremely kind and welcoming. It would be wonderful to be able to return for another stay.
The location is great, and the hotel is lovely. The bathroom had a whirlpool bath and separate shower. The restaurant was shut on the day we stayed, but it looked like a really nice setting.
Very nice place near the nature with a cozy garden and wonderful hosts. Highly recommended for a peaceful escape from the city. Not far from Barbizon village and Fontainebleau forest
