The staff were excellent, always helpful when our room key stopped working - happened 4/5 times over the week and was told not to keep it near a phone or a credit card - which isn't practical. The location of the hotel is good, with plenty of restaurants close by.
Campanile Annecy - Cran Gevrier is 1.9 mi from the city center and the lake and Annecy train station and 3.1 mi from Annecy-Methet airport.

They have a market a few days a week and all day on Saturday. The town is very lively on Saturday as well. The restaurants were excellent but make sure you are seated an ordering by 9. The kitchens close. Bring good walking shoes the streets are beautiful and cobble stone. Rivens was a Michelin Star restaurant that you should not miss. For the better restaurants, I highly recommend reservations. The town was very easy to navigate and had really great shopping. Make sure you buy the milled soap!

Pristine lake - well worth a boat tour.
Pristine lake - well worth a boat tour. Take the longer trip, not the 30 minutes. We also cycled the lake which is good for active people, especially for a close up view of what you see from the boat. Less fit people might prefer an e-bike. Bon Pain Bon Vin is a great restaurant for food, although service might not meet expectations for those looking for prompt and efficient attention. It’s worth it for the food and atmosphere. Market days are great for getting fresh high quality local produce. Three days is probably a minimum for getting a good feel for the town.

We mainly explored the old town and chilled near the beautiful lake. We also went for a hike nearby.
The old town has really nice restaurants. Ideally it's better to reserve before going for the restaurants to have Fondue/Raclette.
It's easy to get around Annecy by hiring a bike or taking the public bus. However one should be careful about the timings if you want to visit nearby places from Annecy. The buses are not so frequent.

The place is the perfect combination of nature and culture.
The place is the perfect combination of nature and culture. Compact and yet full of little surprises, Annecy is a charming French city that should be in every traveller’s bucket list. Plenty of excellent dining options, the majestic Alps before you, the Lake and the river around which the place weaves its spell. Late March, early April werent as packed with tourists as summer, so the pace is less harried. Prices, too, both for food and accommodation are very affordable. Three restaurants we tried : Cozna, Saba and Le Bouillon, all Michellin recommended - provided excellent food and service.
It was situated very nicely right in the heart of Annecy Old Town! Staff was extremely nice, they also let us keep our luggage at the hotel while we walk around the town a little bit more. A possible useful tip when navigating to the hotel, follow the google map route into Old Town but turn to the ramp/hill when you come cross Ô Savouyard, google maps led us to the "shorter route" but it was a lot steep stairs and steep ramps.
The breakfast was so good. So many delicious/fresh choices. The lovely family who are the owners and their entire staff couldn’t be more accommodating. I am an older/solo traveler and felt safe and so comfortable. I love the beautiful green gardens that the breakfast area looks out on. And, for me, the location was perfect. An easy walk from the train station and also easy walk to Old Town and Lake Annecy.
The location is premium near the main attractions and very close to the old town. Very friendly staff and great welcoming. The hotel is very clean and modern located in a quiet street. Minibar is filled. Good water pressure. Great amenities. Parking issue was quickly solved as the hotel has private parking slots with very reasonable price. Overall great experience. We would definitely come back.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room was clean enough and not a bad size for France. Location was great especially after a long train journey, literally just a few minutes walk from the station but also so close to the old town and the lake. I would stay here again. Annecy is beautiful, one of my favourite locations in France.
Thoughtful apartment design and in an excellent location near Lac Annecy and in the old town. The sound proof windows were impressive. Very comfortable apartment with secure entry. It was easy to meet the host to receive the keys. Key drop off was easy into a mailbox in the building. Lots of electrical outlets around the apartment.
This spacious apartment was charming and very well situated in the old town area. We loved the views and enjoyed having a balcony. The hosts are exceptionally pleasant & helpful and added greatly to our enjoyment of the city. They have a wonderful library which includes excellent books about essential things to see & do in France.
very well designed hotel room with great shelving in the room, closet and bathroom; very comfy bed and pillows; extremely clean; we traveled with our dog and it was very pet friendly with dog bowls and bed in our room; quick 5-10 min from old town next to the water; nice cafe downstairs for breakfast
location was great as close to lake and old town. However is right on the main Annecy to Doussard road and so is VERY noisy - near constant horns beeping.
View from living room is spectacular.
Modern stylish kitchen
Separate toilet and bathroom -common in France.
Electric shutters
Good storage
the hotel is an a good location with direct access to parks, the lake and the old town.
it was easily accessible by walking from the train station.
the bed was wonderful with a set of 4 pillows of various firmness.
in spite of much car traffic, the windows shielded the noise very well.
This hotel is absolutely charming. Situated at the heart of Annecy in a beautiful old building, it offers you a perfect location for exploring the old town.
The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. We felt at home during our stay and wish to come back in the future!
The space was great and the location is right in the middle of old town of Annecy. Check-in was easy and Alexandra was very helpful. The loft is cool with living/kitchen on first floor, bathroom first mezzanine and bedroom on top mezzanine. We had a fantastic time there.
Hotel is very clean, rooms are not big but enough for few days stay. Staff was very friendly and provided great service. Hotel location was very convenient, few steps from old town and few steps from a shopping mall with a big supermarket. I would definitely come back.
it was two blocks from bus/train station ( two blocks of green space)?and two blocks from medieval old town Annecy. Excellent!!! location.
The staff was Wonderful and helpful.
the room was very clean and comfortable. Slippers and bathrobe. Would stay there again.
This hotel is located very close to the lake and the old town. We enjoyed a two night stay here in August, using it as a base for exploring Annecy. Breakfast was good, consisting of the usual breads, pastries, meat, cheese, and sausage.
The location was perfect just behind the old town and easy to walk all over Annecy and to local restaurants. The apartment was very spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Great to have a secure parking space.
This was a unique accommodation in an ancient building but with modern comforts. The decorations enhance its character without being overdone. It is in the heart of old town Annecy, a prime location.
Great location. Right beside Annecy's train and bus stations and just a short walk to the Old Town. Would recommend this hotel. The continental breakfast is worth paying for.
