A wonderfully historic place to stay, above the town but close to it. The room was very comfortable and clean, with super-swish decor and the château grounds were great for eating our picnic supper in the evening. A simple but tasty breakfast was included.

Don’t be put off by the exterior (which looks like a self-storage unit!) - the facilities are great and the staff super friendly. We had truly amazing seafood pizzas (it was pizza night) and a tasty pichet de vin rouge as well as puddings for under €40. And great safe storage for our bikes and excellent breakfast. And it was ideally located for our bike trip towards La Rochelle

Chris and Barbara were perfect hosts, very welcoming and informative about places to visit in the area and for our onward journey.
We dinned in the chateau and the food was very good and to a very high standard… would definitely recommend eating in if you are staying.

If you are thinking to book, please do it. It is an absolutely unique experience and I have no words to describe how much I loved this place. It is a truly authentic place, it is not watered down for touristic purposes and you can feel how it truly was living there in the 18th century (we stayed in that part of the domain) with the full comfort of modern times. We did not know you can arrange for dinner, so if you want that make sure you ask - we had just breakfast. I am already planning for my return. The owners are amazing and I want to thank Sophie again as she was so kind to send me my forgotten sunglasses (to Romania).

We have just stayed in the old goat shed for the second time. WOW what a holiday!! We were so lucky to have had the whole place to ourselves and were absolutely spoilt by the wonderful Richard!
The new pool and terrace are absolutely stunning, we really enjoyed swimming each day and sitting in the sun on the lovely chairs. What a stunning upgrade from the last time we visited!
The food, again just wow! Richard is an absolutely fantastic chef and fed us the most delicious food!
Can’t wait to come back again next year, thank you Richard- you are amazing! ❤️

when we asked for breakfast on arrival on sunday night it was offered.
What arrived was OK but I was asked for 10 euros each. The web page said 8 euros and that would have been plenty for what was given. It has to be said it was a last minute request on Sunday night so it was left at
that.
La Jariette is a beautiful property in a peaceful setting. We stayed in the smaller gite with separate access to bathroom and kitchen and this was no problem at all. Lovely garden space outside the gite to enjoy an evening meal or breakfast and right next to the pool which kept the kids happy (as well as the table tennis). Cute little village of Airvault is nearby.
This cosy duplex in the very centre of Airvault is very comfortable. It was clearly oversized for me, but would be ideal for a small self-catering family.
