Personally, the location is perfect as I visit both Finland & Sweden. The breakfast (Cold buffet) is very good - great selection and fresh. The room we stayed - excellent. Roomy, excellent room facilites for both relaxing and working.

Arrived in the morning by night train from Helsinki - arranged pick up by Hotels own taxi service, followed by very early check-in at around 10 a.m. with no extra cost (thank you!). Very friendly and helpful staff. Large and comfortable Lounge with free coffee and biscuits. Central location of the Hotel, train connections on both the Finnish and the Swedish side.
Delicious breakfast with many options. Luggage storage for departure day. Would definitely come back, good place for stopover and local points of interest (museum, wooden church).
Historical building with interesting decor. Welcoming, chatty, and lovely ladies working at this hotel. Spacious room and comfortable beds. Slippers and kettle were provided. Heating worked well. Free parking at the back of the hotel. Shopping mall across the street. We would definitely return if in the area again.
Motel Tornio is in a very old building and that shows: For example the toilet floor was flooding. But the room was good and quiet and the host was extremely friendly. Location was perfect after just crossing the Finnish-Swedish border. Price to quality ratio was good.
