good value for the money, and shared premises were exceptionally good an cosy (the kitchen, sofa groups in two living rooms, a fireplace, fantastic views over the lake, forest around, a small meadow at the lakefront, a nice small restaurant with a licence wines AND liquor!)

Nice place with comfy house, quiet surrounding, perfect for nature lovers. You can listen to birds and silence. Kitchen has everything needed for cooking, coffee machine, kettle, cook top, microwave. You can sit outside and enjoy dinner or morning coffee. Sauna was perfect.
Great location and super price-quality ratio. I even like their old fashioned, outdated style. Awesome beach and nature for long walks and the village is close-by. Lovely couple managing the property. The greatest sport ever, Finnish baseball is played 'next door', worth visiting - see Sotkamon Jymy (the club) and Hiukan pesäpallostadion (the venue).
Reasonably good breakfast. Good central location in Sotkamo next to beach, pesäpallo-stadium and all other services. Location on a hill is also quite beautiful. Good space for parking. You cannot complain about the price for two people.
The hotel is out of the town, at a lakeside. Great views to the lake and Sotkamo town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a private beach with a sauna.
