This hotel is simply fabulous. I rarely rate something this high. It's right at the river side with beautiful views + literally 5 minutes from the bus station. The staff is extremely helpful. The breakfast is amazing.

A quaint country house, with an interesting history. We were in the Turku themed room. Had our own bedroom, kitchen, WC, and living room - so lots of room. Not fancy, but comfortable. There was a shared shower room, but we didn't use it. Beds might be a bit narrow for a bigger person, but very comfy with extra pillows. Nice selection for breakfast in the fridge (e.g. yogurt, juices, jams, water bottles, milk, margarine, meat & cheese, buns, ready made oatmeal to just reheat, eggs to cook) as well as cookies, apples and candies set out. I think there was also coffee & tea in the cupboard. Nice and friendly host. We paid a little extra to charge our electric car.
Salo is a small place with everything essential. It has pharmacies, shopping malls, restaurants, a river, and a McDonald's, to begin with. It is stunning in autumn. It may not be a place with lots of entertainments, but is just suitable for a relaxing weekend trip, with affordable accommodation and restaurants, and discounts in the shopping mall.

Salo is a small town between Turku & Helsinki.
Salo is a small town between Turku & Helsinki. Not much to do in downtown Salo, unless you like pubs and kebab restaurants. Lots of beautiful nature nearby Salo and you can enjoy Teijo national park's offering a quick car drive away. A few privately own restaurants in town, which I definitely recommend!

Salo is a nice, small town, almost everything is the city...
Salo is a nice, small town, almost everything is the city centre area next to the river. If you have a car, you can visit manor area Wiurila (10 mins) and maybe some of the golf courses (Salo, Halikko, Teijo). Teijo area is 30 mins drive and provides many attractions. The best restaurants are Kastu (main street) and Seurahuone (near the railway station). Both the railway and bus stations are in the center, so you do not need necessarily a car for coming to Salo. Turku is nearby (40 mins along the motorway).
Perfect location in the city Center. Nice and clean room. I really like the concept of the rooms having a rock theme. I was in the pink Floyd room and had a glimpse of the KISS room. The best about the Hotel is the staff though. I arrived at 1am and woke up the owner by phone but he was helping me with everything. The next day the good soul of the house helped me with everything, really everything!
A great place to rest and use as a base while visiting Salo/Turku region. The location by the lake and views from inside were my best experience sfter a long trip from Australia.
Good facilities ( kitchens, toilets, cafe). Cozy room and the beach just right next to it. The location is really easy accessible by car and Salo town next to it.
