The resort is well signposted and easily accessible from the main road. The shop and restaurant were good. A buffet breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The dinner menu was also good value for money.
Beautiful location and plenty of walks/cycling ways from the front door. In the Summer months, there is big play park for children, with water slides, climbing frames, etc., in the adjacent holiday resort. This is one of the most beautiful areas of Finland.

Beautiful place to visit.
Beautiful place to visit. Lot to see and do, in a cirlce of 20 km. A week time would fly if I had it. Saimaa lake region is amazing. Biggest Finnish lake, several National Parks, Savolinna Castle, roads in the middle of the lake, world biggest wooden church, numerous hiking trails, kayaking, swimming, etc. Endemic seal habitat area. .

Gorgeous and amazing nature around.
Gorgeous and amazing nature around. An oasis of silence, tranquility and appeasement. Forests and lakes breathe pristine purity. Walking as always in Finland gives a feeling of unity with nature. Finnish people love their own nature and carefully look after it, keep it for themselves and their descendants.

Punkaharju is beautiful! The scenery is truly one of a kind.
Punkaharju is beautiful! The scenery is truly one of a kind. I recommend taking a run or a walk to the famous ridge area and of course bathing in the sauna and the lake.
For a great meal, go to Hotel Punkaharju or Cafe Rantakivi. Try the local delicacy, vendace, a type of small lake fish.

It was in a beautiful place, our cabin was right next to the lake, we were very lucky as some cabins were quite far away from the lake.
We ate pizza at the on site restaurant, it was really good and quite reasonable.
There were a lot of things for children to do but not so much for adults/ couples, which was fine as we only stayed a day.
The room was exceptionally clean, even cleaner than many more expensive hotels I have stayed in, and we were happy that we did not have to clean after ourselves, as is usual for a hotel room of this price range in Finland. The sheets and towels were fresh, and were provided, even though we had read that we should bring our own, so this was a nice bonus. There were no odors and the room was easily ventilated after we cooked dinner.
It's a great resort perfect for a getaway from the city. Facilities are well ran, new and clean. So whether you want a relaxed countryside stay or an active stay, there's something for everyone. Punkaharju is also just a 10 minute drive away, plenty surroundings to explore.
Tidy, modern, maintained well with plenty of recreational things to do and good restaurant/bar. Four EV charging points. Good sauna. Large area to walk or cycle. Good place for kids. Effective air conditioning. Short distance from the Vanha Punkaharju Hotel.
