A lovely renovated house. Very clean and comfortable.
A great nights sleep, great breakfast and very friendly owners with excellent eco principles. Our bicycles were stored for us.
Good recommendations for eating close by and also top tips on what to see in town.

We enjoyed our two-night stay in Zafra and had a couple of decent dinners in local restaurants - La Rebotica being particularly good. It was interesting to wander the old-fashioned and largely pedestrianized streets of the centre and we also liked the open spaces. We visited a couple of museums and liked the Museu de Medicina which was well laid out but all the information was just in Spanish - perhaps modern technology could help by providing some sort of translation facility. We wanted to visit the winery of Bodegas Medina but it was closed and we only found out too late that visits are only possible at weekends.

It is a beautiful location in a lovely town.
It is a beautiful location in a lovely town. Because it is an historic building there are some inconveniences but the ambiance and historic surroundings make it worth being a bit flexible. The staff were lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. Having just been in the Costa Del Sol where the experience is so impacted by over development it was refreshing to be in an authentic Spanish community.

Very friendly town with a huge range of small to medium-sized shops and services. The old town is charming and very pretty. Good bus links to Seville and Mérida. Plenty of county paths in any direction out of town.

Zafra is charming. It's hotels are not.
Zafra is charming. It's hotels are not. Someone in the City PR department needs to shake up the hoteliers. I pass through twice a year going south, then north. I try a different hotel each time, I have not found one to return to in five years. They are complacent, not interested in their customers. Sad. If someone knows of a small treasure I would love to hear of it.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and we initially had a room overlooking the square. However, the room smelled of stale tobacco and we asked to be moved, which we were the following day.
The building is beautiful but the decor is tired and it feels like the rooms could do with some updating.
Breakfast was basic but welcome. It feels like it has lots of potential
An attractive hotel inside and out; very well located just a 3 minute stroll to the main square. Bicycle storage is in the private hotel carpark. Locks are needed as the large gate to the street is left wide open in the morning.
