Spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Slept well on the Camino!
The Hostal El Volante is in Navarra, 30 metres from the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route in Estella/Lizarra. It offers a 24-hour reception and rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV.
The town was great. They had a Basque handball tournament the evening I was there. Fabulous! Also, a little cal musician was practicing his accordion at the same bar - in the plaza opposite la Casa Magica. Lovely. Good salad and other dinner items there. Less great was when a bunch of rowdy youth decided to party under our hostel window till the wee hours, but c’est la vie!
