My private room was so comfortable! I had a great night’s sleep. I had been staying in mixed bunk bed rooms while in the Camino, and this was a needed escape. Quiet, clean, super comfortable bed and pillow and great private bathroom and hot shower!
Set in a former monastery in Carrion de los Condes, the hotel is located near to the Santiago pilgrimage route. Rooms in Hotel Real Monasterio de San Zoilo look onto the beautiful gardens.

I absolutely loved this place especially the quirks, quaintness, historical significance, and unending things to explore right in the hotel. We had booked only one night but since I was injured while walking the Camino the staff kindly allowed us to stay an additional 2 nights.
This 18th-century building is located in Villarmentero de Campos, 25 minutes’ drive from Palencia. It offers free bicycle hire and country-style rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom.

It's a beautiful house and the room in was also beautifully set up. Food is available in the restaurant downstairs. My neighbors were unfortunately very noisy, but that is not the owners' fault.

This is a fine hotel. If you're a Pilgrim (we were), it's not really Pilgrim focused. If you're looking for a private room, it's fine. The location is right across from the cathedral and El Mesón. If you're coming for those two things, it's convenient. Really, it's fine. Nothing special.
Note: The restaurant was closed when we were there. I can not speak to that. We had a lovely early morning (7am) Coffee at the Tosca Hostal down the way.
