Incredibly friendly staff. Always ready to give you tips and they know a lot! The bunkbeds on the bottom had curtains! And everything was exceptionally clean. The only thing the kitchen doesn't have is an oven, but for me, it's not a need. If you have a car, the location doesn't matter. They also offer laundry service for €5,- extra.

Valverde was my "home town" and so I am prejudiced in its favour. My
visit this time was to complete some business from when I was resident.
The name extends to a wider area known as the ayuntamiento of which
there are now three on the island. The town is also the island capital
and so, by default, provides needs not fulfilled elsewhere. For example
the hospital provides higher standards of care than would be expected
in a community of around just ten thousand.
Visitors should be aware of temperature gradients across the island. It
is often true that Valverde town is seven degrees cooler than places on
the coast - but the reverse can occur under some conditions!
Valverde is a compact human-scale town. Everywhere (except some
residential suburbs) is reachable within 15-20 minutes walk. There
are several 'bus services mainly 4/5 times daily to other parts of the
island and so Valverde is a good transport hub.

Beautiful little town with much character.
Beautiful little town with much character. Immaculately clean. Quiet and peaceful. Great restaurants and cafes. Friendly locals. Many speak some English but best to have a little Spanish if you can. Great choice of walks from the town to both coast and mountains. We loved it and would have stayed longer but there are no apartments in the town (just hotels and pensions plus a hostel). We walked the footpath from Valverde to La Frontera - really beautiful.

Tourist office was great...lots of time ..always ready to advise.. Valverde was very unspoilt. The food was not as good as expected except for Antonios restaurant ..The food for the price was incredibly goood
Valverde consists of one big hill after another..heavy going for an old man. Speaking Spanish was a great help.
Helpful and super friendly host that also helped us a lot with finding a taxi on the last day. Big thanks for that!
Also had electric heaters available as Valverde can get fairly cold in spring. Definitely a nice bonus.
Only a small view of the ocean, but with a great view of the sunrise!
Located in a quiet street with everything in walking distance (including bus stops to visit the rest of the island).
Perfect location nearby the heart of the beautiful city of Ville de Valverde
Plenty of restaurants and groceries nearby
Very central to explore the island by bus
All the lines leave and go back to this capital of El Hierro
The rainshower is really good and relaxing after a hard day of hiking
The hiking trails are all over the island and reachable by bus
Our host was very friendly and helpful
We stayed here for 2 nights while on a cycling holiday. Good location and Magaly was very helpful with check-in and arranging a taxi to Valverde. The owner was also very very helpful via WhatsApp. The sofa was very comfortable :) there is only 1 bar/restaurant and 1 shop in the village which close at 7 or 8pm so plan your trip accordingly.
Lovely hotel, despite no English speakers we received an extremely warm and friendly welcome, which extended throughout our stay. Breakfast itself was lovely, and the breakfast experience was friendly and delightful. Lovely, comfortable hotel, very friendly staff all in all a great place to stay in Valverde and I would highly recommend.
Well located in Valverde, a good starting point for any destination in El Hierro. The house is quiet and just 10 min walk to Valverde centre. It has a beautiful view and the house, while comfortable, has maintained the character of traditional Hierro houses.
friendly staff, clean, comfortable room, located in a quiet street, but close to everything, breakfast was quite good value; this hotel makes a good base to explore at least part of the island
A good place to stay in El Hierro. Located in Valverde, plenty of free parking around and a bakery nearby where you can buy fresh bread and biscuits every morning.
