It's an attractive town, with good restaurants and shopping and lovely architecture and historic landmarks. The park is lovely too, and we visited museo casa de cervantes which was quite a highlight and beautifully presented. Quite an underrated town I would say.
We ate at a couple of good restaurants la tasquita which is a good tapas bar and also Los zagales where we had a fixed price menu which was excellent.

Beautiful old town and Plaza Mayor. Cathedral is less impressive. During my visit in September a festival was going on and the city was alive with music and food stalls every where. A lot of bike lanes and bikes for hire make you go around the city very easy.

Lovely, compact city to stroll around. Plenty of cafes/bars/restaurants. Some fabulous architecture. Places worth visiting are National Sculpture Museum, Cathedral and Parque Campo Grande (beautiful, tranquil Park in the centre of the city). Unfortunately, the Casa de Cervantes was closed the weekend I was there, so can't comment on it.
I had no need for public transport except when I went to the football stadium (which is 2/3km beyond the river).
Overall, a very friendly, pleasant and safe city. Would definitely return.

We picked Valladolid a convenient place to rest, for a couple of days, on a long journey but it is a fascinating small city with a rich history and lots to see on foot, a huge range of places to drink and eat and watch the world go by.

What a lovely place!
What a lovely place! We stayed overnight driving from Portugal to Santander for the ferry. Arrived early afternoon and had a wander around the town. It's such a pretty place, lovely buildings, cafes, bars, a really lively pleasant vibe.

We were greeted and felt very welcomed by Hotel Manager Roberto. You could tell he was very proud of the hotel and city. He gave us tips on where to eat and places to see. It was a shame we were only there one night - however, we would definately return.
Everything - we had a super stay in Valladolid. Easter week is the time to be there. The hotel was very smart and within easy walking distance to the centre. The park just across the road presents a pleasant change to the busy city. The staff were efficient and helpful. The room was comfortable and all was clean. Breakfast was good. The garage was just near the hotel and access was easy.
The best part of my stay was the hostess, an absolutely wonderful and charismatic lady who was happy to help or offer advice on anything! It was my first day in Spain and she made me feel at home from the very first moment. In addition to the hostess’ warmth, the facilities were immaculate, the people I shared a room with were lovely, and the location was unbeatable.
The hotel is in a great location for visiting Valladolid, within easy walking distance of most major attractions, and beside a major bus interchange, allowing you to reach the remainder.
Our room was comfortable and spacious, and reasonably well lit. There was surprisingly little noise heard in the room form the lively market below, in the plaza.
Location. Location. Location. It's basically on Plaza Mayor. It's close to everything, shops, restaurants, bars, supermarket. The apartment has everything you need, even a dishwasher. Valladolid is a great city, people don't give it enough credit. You can take the train to Medina del Campo for just €3.
From first walking through the door to our leaving the staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Paloma on reception was amazing. The evening meal was good as was the breakfast. We would not hesitate to recommend the Imperial for a stay in Valladolid.
The staff are so friendly… especially Iris, she helped us with the arrangement and recommended us what to eat and see in Valladolid … the room was great, comfortable … breakfast is great and has a good selection … walking distance to railway station

It’s got a great location for those of us who were traveling from the north to the west of Spain. Easy to get in and out. And yet, very close to the cutie center, with easy access by foot.
The hotel on the outside is already giving you the feeling going back in time. Its a rustic hotel also the room. But I must say again clean, and comfortable bed.
The staff is super friendly and very supportive. The room is clean. Its location is near the center of Valladolid. In summary it has good value for money.
An outstanding place to spend an evening or longer if needed. All the facilities were just what was required and everything worked.
