The modern extension to the Hotel Encinar, now its main face to the world, is an elegant, low-lying building with attractive mature gardens to the rear, surrounding the pool. The rooms are generously sized (ours had a vast private terrace), well equipped and comfortable, with good aircon. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful and the hardworking bar staff really earned their wages. The restaurant offers an extensive choice for breakfast and our lunch in the pool bar was excellent. The hotel is very easy to find and in a really useful location just off the motorway (which you can't see, though you can hear it).
There's a good, traditional restaurant at the back of the hotel, about 5 minutes' walk away.

If someone is looking for a swish, modern Boutique Hotel, they maybe a little disappointed, however as a 2 star hotel it was a very nice stay. The hotel is dated, and would definitely benefit from a little TLC, however, the location was fantastic, the views from the balcony were absolutely wonderful, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Everything was very clean. There are many bars and Restaurants nearby, and the short walk to Sotogrande port was very pleasant. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely return.

Love this quaint Spanish coastal village, that is a little rugged around the edges, but personally it is all part of its charm. Some of the best food places along the coast. Although the overspill from Sotogrande is creaping in, this place has not lost its soul. LOVE Torreguadiaro, has a very special place in my heart.

Great little village next to Sotogrande. Easy to find and navigate. Our hotel was right on the beach (the only redeeming factor). Plenty of restaurants to choose from around. We went during a Puente (public holiday) and it was a great break.
This hotel is an absolute 10 for me: rooms are super modern, have big windows with a very nice view onto the ocean. I had a room with balcony on the upper floor, really really nice sitting out there and watching the sunset. Also, the furniture incl. beds are super new and modern. The room is not endlessly big but it's more than enough space. Great bathroom, really nice staff, good restaurant just underneath, quiet surroundings, beaches closeby, I can fully recommend.
To find a small, quiet, comfortable and friendly small hotel right on the beach is a big ask. Milla de Plata ticks all of those boxes and a lot more besides. In my work as a journalist I've written about some of the best hotels in the world, from safari lodges to urban/chic/hipster hideaways. Yet few of them can beat this modestly-priced hotel where you sleep and eat to the swash of the Med'.
Alicia greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming. She upgraded our room to one with a sea view, the room was absolute beachfront and had its own balcony which was perfect. We loved the stay! Also the hotel is in walking to distance to plenty of great restaurants and bars.
Wonderful view. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel had more attention to hygiene and COVID safety measures than others I stayed nearby (eg. the tv remote control was wrapped in plastic)., the amenities were nice (dental kits, shaving kit and comb)
Very clinical type Hotel walls were very thin. It was like being in bed with the people next door either side could hear snoring coughing and general conversation through the wall. This Hotel needs to invest in better soundproofing.

We love the location of this hotel, it’s not the first visit. Walking out straight onto the beach cannot be beaten. It’s dog friendly and surrounded by great friendly restaurants.
Location, view, QUIET, with friendly, kind and helpful staff at every point. This is a real TRAVELER'S hotel of a style I thought had disappeared from the Spanish coast forever.
