I loved this place. What a fabulous and sympathetically converted old building, it is a feast for the eyes. I spent ages exploring every inch of it and taking many photos, it gave me as much pleasure as going out sightseeing did.
It was extremely hot outside when I was there but the walls of the building are so thick that I didn't even need the aircon on. It was spotlessly clean, the water in the shower was hot, the WiFi was fast, and even though my window opened to an internal hallway it was very quiet (although it was a Monday night when I was there so it may be different at a busier time). There is a very comfortable lounge and a beautiful outdoor courtyard for guests to enjoy although, as a budget priced hotel there is no bar or restaurant but you will already know that from the listing. A big advantage is that there is a lift (elevator)

The views were exceptional so peaceful reminded me of the African plain without the big five 😊
The hotel itself was beautiful so moorish in style. Food was very good.
Restaurant could do with sound proofing as we had big groups on our stay and the noise levels could be high. That said you could escape to the beautiful lounge areas which were peaceful and calm.
Swimming pool was lovely but a treck down steps so although the pool catered for anyone with disabled needs not sure how they would get down to it? So need to check that?

The staff were friendly and attentive and went to great lengths to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. The historic nature of the hotel was interesting and relaxing. The pool was great to cool down in.

This old town home was very quaint and typically Spanish. It is as the photos show. We liked we could use the washing machine, a kitchen to make our own meals, and get a comfortable night sleep during our long cycle journey of Portugal and Spain. Poured with rain at night, but we felt very safe, sound, and dry. Host responsive by message (although can be available by telephone - my Spanish is not the most verbally fluent though, so we messaged each other, if we had any need to).
Town is lovely - there’s so many towns like this in Spain, that it’s hard to choose where and what to spend your energy on!
