Room. I don’t know what an onsen is or why it is suggested as I thing I should consider in my review. I’m lost. Room was super Nice. Restaurant was super Nice. Spa wasn’t working. As in, it wasn’t onsen.

Property was fine . Owner was pleasant. There are no shops facilities anywhere near the property. No ability to make even a cup of tea/coffee. Atmosphere in rooms was quite cold . Not the place if you are looking for something cosy, we had to drive for 20 mins to Abiles Old Town to get food in the evening and then again for coffee in the morning.
View was beautiful though , but not worth the price.

wonderful, clean apartments!! the owners welcomed us very well, and since we arrived on Sunday after lunch and everything was closed, they took us to the store and back to buy groceries! For which we are very grateful to them! I recommend it to everyone who is planning a trip to these places!😘

Great atmosphere and very good attention to service. Nothing too much trouble at all. Comfortable and very clean. The hotel had lots of character. Breakfast was amazing. They also booked us a restaurant for evening meals (not offered in the hotel). Surroundings very quiet.

Actually Soto del Barco is a very tiny village.
Actually Soto del Barco is a very tiny village. There is a paved path leading to a "castle" which is very amenable (the path, the castle is private), and then you can walk 2km to the beach of Los Quebrantos, which is splendid. The walk is by the road (so no risk at all).
The views from the hotel "Palacio de la Magdalena" are totally world-class. And the cook there is great. Book your table in advance.
This hotel is a great find in this area. We were just spending one night after arriving from a long set of flights. This hotel exceeded our expectations and made us feel welcome. The room was spacious, the bed more comfortable than most hotels, and the staff and service went out of their way to ensure we were well cared for. We will definitely stay here again when in this area and recommend it highly.
Lovely small country hotel, laid back vibe, very friendly & welcoming. Comfy beds & great breakfasts every day.Very clean .Location great for us,only 10 mins drive from Asturias airport so very handy. Lots of nice places & fab beaches nearby.Asturias is beautiful,we had a lovely relaxing holiday & definitely will come back Thanks very much to Marcial & his mother for their warmth & welcome
This is a fantastic historical hotel, fabulous high look-out location for great views on the surrounding scenery.
We changed rooms (made a mistake booking 1 bed for 2 people) and were helped perfectly by the very kind Christina Garcia. Big thumbs up to her and the service she gave us! Highly recommend a stay here (and it's only a 7 minute drive from the airport, yet not airplane noise!)
This hotel was full of wonderful surprises! The hosts were amazing--beyond friendly and accommodating! The property has two outdoor sitting areas that are wonderful. The neighborhood is residential so it's quiet. The room was great. The breakfast was fantastic--I can't wait to return for another visit!
I loved this hotel. It was built with rock and wood and was beautifully decorated with traditional Asturian touches. There was even a Horreo outside! I woke up in the morning and the little village was wrapped in fog and cows were hanging out nearby. I felt like i was in Scotland.
The hotel was beautiful and the host was amazing! Such an awesome guy who spoke really well English. We really enjoyed talking to him. He really made us feel at home and prepared us a lovely breakfast. He even gave me a donut for on the way, happy me!
The hotel located in small village where you can hear the cattle bells. Quiet and cozy place with garden and parking lot. Room is exceptionally clean and beds were comfortable. the staff was friendly and helpful
Very quiet place, ideal for a good sleep after a long activity day. Facilities are quite comfortable and bar located right in the same hotel building has a top notch coffee and good stuff for breakfast.
We came in winter time and I believe that in summer this place has a lot to offer. We stayed only one night on our road trip and it was a good choice as we like these family hotels.
