the room was large, had a comfortable couch, was on the creek and you could see the ocean.
for travelers seeking a more quiet and farm like atmosphere...
for travelers seeking a more quiet and farm like atmosphere this is a great place. Guests are close to a couple of ocean sites to experience the beauty of the Cantabria coast line.
Cordillera is a complicated drive as the one street into the pueblo is very narrow, no parking and crowded. It is like visiting a few of the cities along the Amalfi Coast. It is a tourist place although the overall ambiance is impressive.
This was our absolute favorite stay on the Camino. Pepe and his family run this hotel and it is spotless, comfortable, and very charming. The food at the hotel is awesome with amazing breakfast. His family will bend over backwards for anything you need. We stayed because it was right off the Camino, and he has been helping pilgrims for over 20 years. He also paints the arrows for the upcoming stage. Amazing stay in all regards!
Beautiful place to stay, so welcoming and warm. everything you could need. Well kept property that is a fairytale, with the kindest man, Pepin, who lives and runs the hotel. Pepin sees all the details and makes the stay worthwhile. Do not pass this place if you are considering it. He told us that they do breakfast and dinner options during pilgrim peak season.
Everything was perfect. The room was very charming and extremely clean. The staff was superior, they made me feel very welcome. The restaurant was excellent for dinner as well as breakfast. The hotel is located right next to the Camino de Santiago and I could watch the pilgrims walk by in the morning. Thank you for a great stay!
We have stayed here before two years ago. We opted to pay extra for a bigger room and it is well worth it. The staff in this hotel are wonderful. The owner (not sure but think so) is very happy, sings a lot and can't help his guests enough. Brilliant, it doesn't happen too often. The food is of a high standard.
Probably one of the best places you could possibly stay on the Camino Norte. Absolutely wonderful: staff, decor, comfort, restaurant. The history of the building and its connection to the family that operates the hotel is heartwarming. Definitely worth the effort to stay here.
Great location along the Camino, at the entrance to Soto de Luiña. The restaurant at the hotel is great, not that many choices in town, and it was raining. The decor of the hotel with early 20th century pop art is fun. Staff was very kind and welcoming.
An excellent example of a small family enterprise that absolutely excels in every aspect and detail of the hotel business...with an amazing back story that transcends the generations..this one is not to be missed.
wonderful little hotel near the seaside and the mountains. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. breakfast is very good but could be improved by offering better coffee and natural orange juice
Loved the way the family had incorporated the previous use of the building (Tailors workshop) into the hotel. Lovely people and fantastic Pilgrims meal.
