Excellent location, far enough from the motorway not to hear the traffic, but close enough to be back on in 5 minutes.
Lovely small village with some great walking routes close by, spa was a great treat for a nice relax after a 5 hour drive.
Great bakery across the road with a good selection of goods, lovely local bar just around the corner, great prices in both.
No traffic, was able to have a lovely stroll around with no issues.

Located on junction 99 of the A3, an ideal place to stop en route from Santander to southern Spain. A sleepy little village with 3 decent quality hotels, two with restaurants and a small but well stocked artisan bakery in the village square. Very little else in the way of facilities. The one bistro in the village was closed and didn't look like it had been open for a while.

We stayed at the Hotel, Venta junilla Just off the motorway en-route to the costas from Bilbao or Santander, the photos are of this amazing historic building restored to fine detail, ideal if you’ve docked around 18:00, as it gives you an easy drive down south during the day

From madrid to Segovia, we continued our trip to San sebastian. This hotel was the perfect stop for a night, conveniently located on the main road. The hotel had character, and a convenient bar and restaurant. Room was very spacious, simple and clean. The front desk was super helpful and the restaurant staff very friendly. We went kayaking the next day about 25 minutes away and there were other nature attractions we couldn't get to ...but maybe next time. Overall, a very good night, I recommend for a layover :)
Very friendly manager and staff and a uniquely interesting building positioned very conveniently for access to the north south E5 motorway.
No English spoken on the front desk which caused a little confusion when it appeared our Booking.com reservation had not been received by the hotel, despite it showing clearly as a booking on our iPhone. However, the desk clerk who I think was the owner/manager was extremely attentive and did manage to sort it out.
Exceptionally clean everywhere!
Easy to find, great atmosphere - a little oasis just off the main road. Large room with comfy beds and a nice view of the mountains. Aircon worked well. Wifi was good, everything clean and smart as advertised. Shaded parking spaces close to the hotel were a bonus. Ideal stopover after a long drive. Excellent staff and friendly service.
The hotel is a building of great character and historical interest.
My room was large, well furnished, spotlessly clean and comfortable.
The location is ideal for breaking the journey to/from the ferry ports of Bilbao and Santander.
The hotel is pet friendly and right opposite are several open fields in which to exercise your pet.
Comfortable room, beds fine, bathroom a good size with excellent shower. Good choice of food in cafeteria for main meal and breakfast. Easy to access from autovía, ample off road parking spaces. The only minor drawback was the failure of Wifi repeater close to our room but cover good throughout rest of hotel.
Location was perfect for a stop on the highway. The hotel grounds was awesome for the little pug we had with us. A playground for children and a heated pool too.
The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. I especially adored Raul at the reception, for his kindness
clean, comfortable hotel located conveniently just off the A1 autovia. The staff were excellent. Reception staff spoke perfect English and in the cafeteria, the waitress who spoke little English, just laughed away any language barrier. The food was also good.
Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful , responded very quickly to complaint about TV not working and replaced with working model. Hotel is very old and decor is very quirky. Very convenient for overnight stop when travelling to / from ferry ports.
A first class hotel. We have stayed her for over twenty years and the service comfort and staff are excellent. It is also in a very convenient location, just a minute of the Madrid to Burgos highway one hour north of Madrid.
This hotel is an excellent location for travellers heading to Satander or Calais after a long day driving a great location exellent room with mountain views heated pool and tapas or restuarant food never dissappoints
One of the top hotels in Spain for value. Its location is perfect for commuting between the northern seaports and major Spanish Towns. The staff are superb. The restaurant is one of our favourites.
The hotel is very clean, there was someone constantly cleaning all areas. Really comfortable bed and excellent location when travelling from the south of Spain to Santander. The dogs loved it too.
Bathrooms were very nice. The hotel has a lot of history and it’s worth visiting as it’s full of antiques and artifacts. Owner and staff are very attentive and friendly. Good value for money!
Easy to find on our stop over night after arriving by ferry in Santander. Large room and bathroom in a very beautiful hotel. Had a very tasty dinner and the breakfast was also good.
Hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble and we were well looked after by the proprietor and his assistant. For a one night stop this hotel is close to the autovia exit.
