Excellent location, far enough from the motorway not to hear the traffic, but close enough to be back on in 5 minutes.
Lovely small village with some great walking routes close by, spa was a great treat for a nice relax after a 5 hour drive.
Great bakery across the road with a good selection of goods, lovely local bar just around the corner, great prices in both.
No traffic, was able to have a lovely stroll around with no issues.

Located on junction 99 of the A3, an ideal place to stop en route from Santander to southern Spain. A sleepy little village with 3 decent quality hotels, two with restaurants and a small but well stocked artisan bakery in the village square. Very little else in the way of facilities. The one bistro in the village was closed and didn't look like it had been open for a while.

Pet friendly and Raul the Manager gives great service. Lovely grass garden with children’s play equipment. Great parking. Good local dishes and wine available in restaurant and in the pet friendly terrace . If you get a chance visit the medieval village of Pedraza about 20minutes drive away.

We stayed at the Hotel, Venta junilla Just off the motorway en-route to the costas from Bilbao or Santander, the photos are of this amazing historic building restored to fine detail, ideal if you’ve docked around 18:00, as it gives you an easy drive down south during the day

From madrid to Segovia, we continued our trip to San sebastian. This hotel was the perfect stop for a night, conveniently located on the main road. The hotel had character, and a convenient bar and restaurant. Room was very spacious, simple and clean. The front desk was super helpful and the restaurant staff very friendly. We went kayaking the next day about 25 minutes away and there were other nature attractions we couldn't get to ...but maybe next time. Overall, a very good night, I recommend for a layover :)
Very friendly manager and staff and a uniquely interesting building positioned very conveniently for access to the north south E5 motorway.
No English spoken on the front desk which caused a little confusion when it appeared our Booking.com reservation had not been received by the hotel, despite it showing clearly as a booking on our iPhone. However, the desk clerk who I think was the owner/manager was extremely attentive and did manage to sort it out.
Exceptionally clean everywhere!
Great hotel with lots of character and artefacts to check out. We used hotel as stop-over from Bilbao ferry and could easily stayed longer - large room with huge, comfortable bed, en-suite facility and super quality bed linen/bathroom towels. Welcoming reception on arrival and friendly restaurant staff. Great parking facility with electric car charging point. Continental breakfast was adequate and good value. In summary, fantastic hotel and great value.
We were on-route to the south of Spain and needed an overnight stop not too far from the ferry at Santander. This hotel is perfectly positioned being close to the main road and having nice clean rooms and a good restaurant so we didn't have to leave the hotel once unpacked.
Everything worked so very little to add. I would recommend this as an overnight stop when traveling.
The hotel is a building of great character and historical interest.
My room was large, well furnished, spotlessly clean and comfortable.
The location is ideal for breaking the journey to/from the ferry ports of Bilbao and Santander.
The hotel is pet friendly and right opposite are several open fields in which to exercise your pet.
Location was perfect for a stop on the highway. The hotel grounds was awesome for the little pug we had with us. A playground for children and a heated pool too.
The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. I especially adored Raul at the reception, for his kindness
This is my second stay at this hotel on route to Bilbao. After a long drive it’s great to have a swim in the pool. The food in the restaurant is superb. This will be my regular stopover hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff, think it is family run.
A first class hotel. We have stayed her for over twenty years and the service comfort and staff are excellent. It is also in a very convenient location, just a minute of the Madrid to Burgos highway one hour north of Madrid.
Very friendly, a tour of the hotel with someone on the phone translating. Very good for the dog, grounds to walk in, allowed into the bar for breakfast which was nice. Very smart and traditional, will stay there again.
One of the top hotels in Spain for value. Its location is perfect for commuting between the northern seaports and major Spanish Towns. The staff are superb. The restaurant is one of our favourites.
Bathrooms were very nice. The hotel has a lot of history and it’s worth visiting as it’s full of antiques and artifacts. Owner and staff are very attentive and friendly. Good value for money!
Easy to find on our stop over night after arriving by ferry in Santander. Large room and bathroom in a very beautiful hotel. Had a very tasty dinner and the breakfast was also good.
