Vivienda Vacacional Los Gigantes, hotel in Santiago del Teide

Boasting accommodation with a heated pool, mountain view and a balcony, Vivienda Vacacional Los Gigantes is set in Santiago del Teide.

The amazing view makes you speechless. The pictures cannot reflect enough how wonderful the cliffs of Los Gigantes are from the terrace. The apartment is really nice, well equipped, and tidy. The area is so quiet that your rest is 100% guaranteed. Perfect location. Everything is close by, harbor, restaurants, and bars, but also situated on a dead-end road at the edge of the village, so with almost no traffic. The pool area is comfy and never crowded. The water in the pool is a bit cold, tough (in September). The host was very friendly and welcoming. Jorge showed us everything at the check-in.

Barceló Santiago - Adults Only, hotel in Santiago del Teide

Set on a cliff in Tenerife, this hotel features impressive panoramic views of La Gomera Island and Los Gigantes Cliffs. The chic rooms include air conditioning and a plasma TV.

We were greeted upon our arrival by friendly staff at the reception and Francisco kindly helped us settle in by briefing us on the amenities and what we can expect from our stay which left a great first impression. The team had kindly left a bottle of Fizz for us and rose petals in our room as we were staying for our honeymoon which was incredibly thoughtful and a lovely touch to our experience. The breakfast buffet options were plentiful and we never had a problem finding a sun lounger. There were plenty of small restaurants directly opposite the hotel and up the hill within a ten minute walk and we found ourselves staying for the hotel evening show every night due to how varied and fun they were. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, low-key holiday stay with enough nearby eating options but easy access to other parts of the island also available through the taxi rank directly outside the hotel.

Hotel Rural El Navío - Adults Only, hotel in Santiago del Teide

Hotel Rural El Navío - Adults Only is set on a banana plantation, less than 1 km from Alcalá Beach. It features an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi, and rooms with terraces and sea views.

For what I wanted being away from some.of the full on resort towns was nice to get away and chill. And everyone going there were for similar experiences. Food was good, could have done with some variation on breakfast but all fresh and dinners I had were good.

I was staying in Santiago Del Teide as part of a hiking group. Santiago del Teide, is an ideal location for hiking, with easy access to Masca, and the Teide National Park. It is a lovely place to socialise after a walk, with great places to eat.

Santiago delTeide is a great place to stay especially if you...

Santiago delTeide is a great place to stay especially if you like walking. There are lots of marked trails in Teide National Park for all walkers but you need to rent a car for the best way to travel as the buses can be very scarce some days and are not always reliable. There are lots of very good restaurants including a couple of excellent Italian ones. Los Gigantes where we stayed is quieter than the main area of Puerto de Santiago which we liked. A shout out to Mamma Lucia’s Italian restaurant it was fantastic. Overall a nice area nice friendly people and a place we will return to very soon.

(not reviewing Santiago del Teide but Los Gigantes that "belong" to it ...) I chose it to have a place to explore SW part of Tenerife, with a view on Los Gigantes. I had a great view of Los Gigantes cliffs, Masca is relatively close but getting "almost anywhere" from Los Gigantes entails climbing winding serpentines ... so trip to Masca, El Teide, Puerto de la Cruz ... always took a while. For beaches and swimming ... not really many beaches, ended up commuting to Playa de la Arena which is nice but usually with waves (yellow to red flag ...) so not necessarily for everyone and definitely for "extended (longer distance) swimming" as the area restricted by buoys is relatively small (and swimming outside really is not safe and approved by the lifeguard on duty ...) (so next time I will probably again stick to areas closer to Puerto de la Cruz or Santa Cruz that are "on the highway" and are better starting points for trips and have better beaches I guess)

It is absolutely fabulous! We stayed at Los Gigantes.

It is absolutely fabulous! We stayed at Los Gigantes. It is quiet, but bars and restaurants are just around every corner, just like live music and the supermarket. And of course you can buy souvenirs and clothes. Lot's of whale watching tours on offer at the agencies. Also nice, use of swimming pool offered against reasonable price in the village, just a short walk, for if the sea is to cold or rough for your liking. If you want to go out of the town, but not want a long drive, there is also a very nice beach with great rock formations at Playa la Arena (here the sea was less rough, and there are more restaurants to choose from, but I liked the atmosphere of Los Gigantes better) just a 20 minutes walk. Or take the bus, it's very cheap! We had one disappointment, there is no hiking trail going into the mountains from here. Google maps said so, but it is closed and from the looks of it, it is now covered in rocks.

This is the Perfect place to stay for visiting Masca and doing the local walks. It is a nice complex of buildings, some historic and some modern in the very pretty landscape of Santiago... the hotel is pleasantly decorated, and beyond my (fairly standard) hotel room there was an attractive sitting area that I used to work in. There are also pretty patio areas that one can use if it is warm enough.

The hotel is very charming, the location is perfect when you’re going hiking in the hills (especially to visit Masca). The staff was very friendly and gave us some tips on where to go and local knowledge (go in spring to see the almond blossom). They have a good selection of wines from the local area which is good

I loved staying at Casa Fina! The antique aesthetic with a few modern touches was a nice switch up from any other hotel I've ever stayed at. I liked that Casa Fina had a shared living room area and a fully stocked kitchen. The garden on the property was a very cute place to enjoy my tea.

The room was beautiful! Felt like hotel , really comfortable. The jacuzzi was really fun and was totally worth the price ( that wasn't so expensive to what we got). Amazing view from the flat. Many hiking places and restaurants really close by.
