Hosts Carmen and Ludka were as helpful as anyone could possibly be. They were like old friends right from our first introductions including sending helpful parking advice in advance and assisting with our GPS.
The room and breakfast were both extremely generous.
This is most definitely where we would stay if we were anywhere near Sanlucar.

We enjoyed our stay at La Alcoba de Aqua so much that we decided to extend our stay and upgrade from a Standard Double Room to the Junior Suite. (I highly recommend the Suite if it's within your budget!) This boutique hotel was pure luxury at a great price point, unlike any other hotel we have experienced during our travels through Spain. The Junior Suite offered so many nice details, like bathrobes and bath slippers set out for us, an assortment of teas and a kettle, little chocolates provided in the refrigerator, and soaps, scents, and shower caps provided in the bathroom. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and had fresh linens, and our balcony overlooking the garden/pool area was sunny and tranquil. The service at the hotel is gracious and helpful. I would return to Sanlucar just to stay in this gem of a hotel again. We didn't want to leave.

We had fantastic views of San Lucar from our room while we had a pleasant night. Enjoyed the Terrace drinks service just to relax before going to bed. The next day we had a nice breakfast with assorted and delicious options. The bathroom was clean and wide comfortable. Staff was always kind and gentle. So convenient the access to the hotel for disable people.

Spotlessly clean both in the rooms and around hotel. Beds were exceptinally comfortable. My room was adequate size and was simply and tastefully decorated.
Excellent location, 10 minute walk to beach. In centre of town so lots of shops and cafes close by also 5 minute walk to bus station. There is a bar/ cafe attached to hotel which was really convenient for morning coffee etc.
The exterior was very well maintained, traditional Andalucian features with beautifully maintained flowers, greenery and plenty of seating areas.
Would certainly return.

Nice quiet location but close to the beach and the main square. I came to Sanlúcar for a teaching job and needed a place to stay while looking for an apartment. Alberto and Almudena are the most generous gracious hosts and introduced me to friends and places and helped me every step of the way. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and welcoming. I’m a little sad that I can’t just live there the whole time I am in Sanlúcar. But I have made the most wonderful friends. Highly recommend!! My first day of work, Alberto greeted me at my door with coffee as he knew I was nervous and always made sure my favorite coffee pods were stocked for me. Almudena introduced me to her friends and invited me out for drinks and dinner and thrift shopping. Thanks to them I am off to a good start in my new city.

Great location: close to the beach, some nice restaurants just downstairs, 12 minutes walk to the castle and 4 minutes to the beach. Nice traditional furniture and comfortable bed. Great communication and easy to check in and out. Very friendly owners/helpers. Free parking on site. Aircon.

Been here for a longer period before Covid-19, after that half a dozen times on a holiday, and will keep on coming back as it a magnificent and friendly little Andalucian town. A hidden gem really. However if you have no knowledge of the language it may feel a bit challenging, there are not many foreign tourists.

Sanlucar is very atmospheric and we loved it just as much on this, our second visit. We particularly loved eating in the lively centre at the tapas restaurants.
Despite the lovely beach, when I booked this property I wanted one with a pool which this professed to be. Unfortunately the whole pool area was closed for the duration of our stay with no prior warning, which rather spoiled the experience. The owners apologised but no retribution was offered and despite putting this in my review of the property Booking.com seemingly did not care either.

Sanlucar is a busy town with fantastic restaurants - the food is amazing and we tried lots of different places - the central square is buzzing late into the night and even the beach bars serve great tapas. Sanlucar is one of the three points of the sherry triangle and the only place in the world where Manzanilla sherry is made due to the location and climate. We visited the Barbadillo Bodegas and Tio Pepe - well worth visiting at least one bodegas if you are in the area- sherry is not just a Christmas tipple!
We hired a car and so were able to explore the area - visiting Jerez and Arcos De La Frontera. Both places have lots of places of historical interest as well as great tapas and sherry!

This ranks as one of my favorite hotel stays ever. The facility underwent a major renovation in 2020 and the designer who led the project was a genius. They retained many 300-year-old details, like the floor tiles and the shutters, but updated the amenities beautifully. Walking in felt like entering a spa. The staff were also equal to the best I've ever met: outgoing, knowledgeable, efficient. And the owners, Belen and Paco, went out of their way to meet us and pour us a sherry on the house, clearly proud of what they've built.
The hotel is an excellent choice. With its two stars it is much under-rated. From bathroom size, facilities (minibar) etc it is definitely a three-star hotel. Breakfast very good. Parking possibility (affordable!) is another big plus of this hotel.
Location is beyond discussion. Outside it was extremely loud and crowded (Moto GP weekend in Jerez), after closing the window all was quiet.
Setting a new standard for two-star hotels!
Cisnes Palace is centrally located in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, on the Calzada and very close to the main plaza. My “apartment“ was clean and well equipped. I would stay here again, no doubts about it. The best part of this experience was the staff, and in particular, Rocío, who helped me with many small details. She is a jewel!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sanlúcar at this apartment. The hosts were very friendly, generous and helpful. The apartment is incredibly well stocked with supplies. It is nicely furnished and very clean! The courtyard of the complex is beautifully decorated with plants. And we appreciated the on-site parking.
The view from the rooftop was beautiful.
The members of staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well looked after. Very comfortable. Will return, but perhaps have breakfast elsewhere as there were plenty of local cafes nearby (however this would mean missing the lovely staff in the hotel)
What a beautiful little hotel! Perfectly situated for the bustling squares of Sanlucar , & a short walk to the beach. Spotlessly clean, wonderful design around a central courtyard, & a lovely pool in the roof terrace. Large room with plenty of storage. Will definitely return!
Nice little hotel/guesthouse located close to main sites. Comfortable bed and large clean room. The owner was kind enough to give me a call on our arrival day and explained how to get to (free a d safe) parking spots, few mins walking from the property.
great location 5 minutes from central plaza. very good AIR CONDITIONING. over 100 degrees each day of summer heat wave and air conditioning was a life saver. good air conditioning that will cover whole apartment very rare in Sanlucar.
hotel is very nice, close tot he river, /beach. 10 minute walk tot he old town. the rooms were spacious as was the bathroom. the location is good if you can walk to t he old town or if you want to be very close to the beach.
It's located at the best place! Quiet but at the city center and quite near to the beach
About the home owner, it's been a pleasure meeting him. He gave us a lot of good tips to spend our stay at Sanlúcar...
Lovely hotel, very warm and personal welcome, calm and peaceful well equipped room with huge bed. Everything you need and some treats.Great location and great recommendations for restaurants etc
We had a huge room with a small kitchen area. The hotel is perfectly situated for restaurants, bars, bodegas and the beach. Really helpful staff, such an easy check in and out
