It's an industrial area.
It's an industrial area. There are pleasant squares with bars, shops and restaurants, but they serve an essentially industrial area of the city. It's a fair distance away from the centre of Madrid, but does appear to have good public transport by underground train and bus (I didn't use either of them).
My colleagues, who visited the city centre one evening, were alarmed at the poor standard of driving and general behaviour from their Uber driver, (very aggressive with pedestrians and other motorists), and unwilling and dismissive of where they wanted to go. Essentially they were told their intended destination was 'mierde' and they were taken somewhere else. I had no issue with the regular taxi drivers, though I'm sure they are also significantly more expensive.
I will say that it's not a touristy sort of place, so you might need to break out your Spanish in order to get by. English is not a given in the various bars and restaurants. As someone trying to learn a bit of Spanish, I consider this a good thing... but depending on why you're in Spain and how much warning you might have had that you'd be there, this might not be ideal for you.

The room was clean and comfortable, but quite hot.
The room was clean and comfortable, but quite hot. The air conditioning was not working well. The machine was old and the air temperature was not able to be controlled. It was either off or on. It was a rather warm day and night and so sleeping was uncomfortable. The bed itself was very comfortable. The bathroom was also nice and clean but had very little lighting. There was only one electric plug in the room and one in the bathroom. The check in staff were very friendly and helpful. The checkout staff was not.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Very nice personnel.
The hotel was comfortable and clean. Very nice personnel.
It is a residential area, so not many shops or restaurants. That was too bad, especially the lack of a good restaurant.
We bought bread and ate it in our room, or went into Madrid for restaurants.
The park was very nice, and easy to reach.

The breakfast was ok but the croissant etc were not fresh...
The breakfast was ok but the croissant etc were not fresh they where hard and maybe a few days old. the staff were very good and very helpful. and the room very clean. the worst was that the bar and restaurant closed on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. not that good when its over 41 in the heat and you have been driving for over 5 hours. and all you want is a drink and something to eat. they sent us to a bar up the road not very clean dirty glasses etc, and very expensive. 53€ for 2 sprits and 2 tankie plus 2 x tapas.the out side was very untidy and needed sweeping clean. not a great place or area to stay.

Brilliant over night stop over for air and car travels.
Brilliant over night stop over for air and car travels. The huge indoor shopping centre is a few minutes walk away. This is ideal if the weather is iffy. Numerous restaurants offering all styles from burger bars to full silver service.

everything is terrible, they are engaged in fraud, they use for the deposit some horrible service swikly which sometimes does not work, so if the service does not work they offer you to come to another city to pay the deposit, and by the way as they are illiterate they do not know that the city of Madrid and San Sebastián de los Reyes are different cities, so they offer to come to the office in Madrid to pay the deposit, absolute scammers.
The breakfast was excellent and the room was clean and well organized.the cleaner and air freshener used in the hotel room itself was overpowering and very intense to mask or cover the smoke smell. I assumed the hotel would be non smoking so beware that smoke smell is covered up in the room
